The health benefits of scent leaves are too numerous to mention. These leaves can be used in various ways and in some many ways. And it depends on what you want to use them for. Many illnesses and diseases can be treated with these leaves. In fact these leaves can be called 'wonder leaves' because of various forms and purposes they can be used for.
The leaf is known as nchanwu in Igbo, efinrin in Yoruba, and daidoya in Hausa. Ocimum basilicum (Thai basil) as well as the medicinal herb Ocimum tenuiflorum known as Ocimum sanctum (holy basil) Ocimum gratissimum is native to Africa. The height of scent leaf can reach six meters. It is an annual herbaceous plant with an elliptic shape and slightly long. The aroma is like that of cloves.
