The holiday and the new year is slowly approaching and this is a time we may want to change up our look. We want styles that can take us from Christmas into the new year. This is usually the time we reinvent ourselves. We want to ring in the New Year with a splash of makeup transformation. There are plenty of makeup trends to look forward to each season. Date nights are a big part of most women's lives that they need to show off their best look.

When you are a girl you can get anxious about your outfit and makeup. And if you are not a pro you may want to attempt to do it yourself

Keep it Simple

Simple eyeshadow looks to be a perfect balance between sophistication and neutral. You may want to go out on your date but not look overly done. Some people go too deep in and end up with an over baked face. Keeping your look clean and pretty is important. This will help your natural beauty to also stand out and not be overpowered by too much makeup.

If you are going to a formal event, you may want to keep your face clean. The makeup can have natural looking powders. Keeping your eye shadow neutral and your lips in light pink shades.

Two-tone Eyeshadow

If you are going to a club or festival maybe you want to jazz up your look a little. A beautiful two toned makeup matching your outfit or completely mixed match is fine. If you are bored of a single color the two-tone effect is pretty and bold. Pink with green is a nice color combination as pink can't be wrong ever. You could choose pastel green and the lovely pink shade to stand out on your date. This is an awesome spring and summer makeup for a night or day date. Your date will love this on you and these colors work well with every skin type and color.

Cat Eyes and Nude Lipstick

This style of makeup is never out of style, I love this classic look. If you are one not into bright colors this is a good choice. You can achieve this by using black eyeliner to get a similar natural cat eyes look. If you dont want the dramatic black you can use a brown pencil instead to create the eye look. Find the right color to create a nice blend and your date will be impressed on how good you are. You can add false eyelashes to create a more dramatic cat-eye look. Choosing nude lipstick to go with the bold cat eyes creates a perfect balance. This is a lovely choice of makeup for a romantic dinner alternatively you can go with red lipstick for a valentine date.

Soft Smokey Eyes and Red Lip Stain

Alternatively from the smokey eye earlier, this look is less dramatic but just as effective. This is a more romantic makeup look and will make you feel like a princess on your date. I recommend this type of makeup for mature women who want to stay current. The soft smokey eyes are a good option for girls who are not sure what makeup to get. Wearing red lipstick will make your whole look shine.

Cut Crease Eyeshadow

This is the last one on this list but it's a crowd favorite. This makeup technique adds depth and dimension to your eyes. So if you want your eyes to pop try to cut crease eyeshadow for our next date. Apply eyeshadow primer in the eye socket and blend the color outward.
