Chapter 1 “An open Book”

-One early Friday morning, The birds were singing with joy while Ginger looks out the foggy window of her school bus.

Peter- What’s wrong Ginger? Aren’t you glad to get away from school for a second and enjoy a field trip?

Ginger- Sure Peter,But I’m not really into Museums. I’d rather be in class actually.

Tim- This isn’t just any old regular museum Ginger. The greatest singer ever to perform lived here!! Its an honor to tour his home.

Ginger- Oh wow!! What songs did he sing Tim?

Tim- Ugh...You should ask your parents. I don’t know them by hard.

Ginger- Will do Tim (laughs)

Ms Washington- Alright..Settle down now class. We are now approaching the late great Lee Carter’s estate. I expect you all to be on your best behavior and pay attention to the tour guide. It might just be a pop quiz when we get back to class.

Students- Ughhh!!

-As Ginger enters the home with her peers, They struggle to open the extremely heavy door leading to the foyer of the estate.

Mr Bo Jangles- Welcome everyone. I’m your tour guide Mr Bo Jangles. As you can see this is Mr Carter’s lovely living room. This home was designed by a French architect in 1977...Follow me this way everyone.

-Ginger and her two friends (Tim and Peter) wonder off from the rest of their tour group.

Ginger- We should go back you guys. We’re going to get in trouble.

Peter- Yea your right Ginger...Come on.

Tim- Wait hold on a second. Look at all these cool old clothes.

Peter- Heyy..I dare you to try on one of those coats Tim.

Tim- Ok I’m not scared.

Ginger- Tim take that stupid coat off Now!Let’s go!

-Ginger grabs Tim in a attempt to snatch the coat from him. To their surprise, A little black notebook falls out of the coat pocket.

Chapter 2 “The Plan”

Peter- Ohh man. I wonder what’s in it.

Tim- Only one way to find out..It looks like a bunch of notes.

Ginger- I think we just found Lee Carter’s Diary.

Peter- Guys don’t have diary’s.

Ms Washington suddenly opens the door as Tim hides the notebook.

Ms Washington- There you guys are. We’re going to have a talk when we get back to school. Come on let’s finish the tour.

-The class continues the tour while Ginger, Tim, and Peter discretely read notes while they follow slowly behind.

Mr Bo Jancles- Now we are approaching the infamous studio where all the magic happened. Great records where made in this very room.

Tim- Lee Carter was great. He made 10 number one records right here.

Peter- Right and he had lots of fun making them. I want be a rockstar one day.

Ginger- Whatever Peter. One of you should go put the notebook back.

Tim- No we should keep it

Peter- We should sell it on the internet

Ginger- We’re not doing any of that. After lunch I’m returning it and that’s not up for debate.

Peter- Why do you get to decide?

Ginger- I’m a girl that’s why.

Tim- Good Point

Ms Washington- Ok class it’s now time for lunch. Report back to me in about one hour.

-Ginger decides to finish reading the notebook before turning it in.

Ginger- Wow guys this is so sweet. He says “Although I experienced some amazing times in my career, My greatest moment was watching my kids being born.

Peter- That’s Interesting

Ginger- You don’t have to be sarcastic Peter.

Peter- No really. Just think about all the other fun things he might of wrote that we want have time to read.

Ginger- That’s why we’re skimming threw it.

Peter- I still say we should sell it.

Chapter 3 Finders keepers

-While time was winding down, Ginger attempts to return the notebook to prevent her friends from getting in trouble.

As she roams threw the halls of the gigantic mansion, The security guards are growing suspicion.

Security- 10-5..It’s a teenager wondering around without a chaperone. Everyone needs to be alert. Code red...I repeat code red.

-Ginger finally finds the coat room where they found the notebook to return it but little did she know the estate owner caught her red handed.

Estate Owner- Excuse me are you lost young Lady? I’m the owner of this estate.

Ginger nervously responds- Um no. My friends and I found Mr. Lee Carter’s Notebook and I was just returning it actually.

Estate Owner- Oh wow! This is incredible. We never knew this was here. What’s your name?

Ginger- Its Ginger.

Estate Owner- Ginger I would like to award you and your friends for finding this for us. My father was really an open book and thanks to you we’re now able to publish his memoirs.

-Ginger and her friends were awarded 20 thousand dollars to split a piece for their honesty.
