The Battle for Ozzfest

Another Reality show from The Osbournes

By Rikki La Rouge Published 5 months ago 3 min read

The Battle for Ozzfest was a brainchild of Ozzy and Sharon and MTV. The idea of the show was it was a competition show where Metal bands from around the country as well as the world who were chosen to compete in games and challenges and the ultimate prize was the winning band would get a spot on the MainStage at Ozzfest.

There was this one son of a bitch who fucked up his bands chances in the competition royally by wearing big Dave’s jacket and disrespecting Ozzy and Sharon. Rightfully so his band was eliminated and they cut his hair to make him look like he had two pork chops on his head.

The band that won was a band called Echoes of Eternity!

After Battle for Ozzfest they would go on to be the opening act for Ozzy and Rob Zombie tour a few years later.

Many of these bands that auditioned and went to the open casting call for battle for OzzFest seem to have potential, but then again others did not just wanted the fame for being around Ozzy and Sharon. At the end of each week they would always have to meet with Ozzie and Sharon in a darkly lit room as Ozzie and Sharon sat on to Victorian Gothic looking thrones because that’s fit for rock ‘n’ roll and metal royalty such as they. And during that time in the room, it was always elimination to see who would go home and who would progress on and to win the competition.

Getting back to that one guy that screwed it up for his band I’m ashamed to say it, but his band and here are from around where I come from and unfortunately that’s not something you wanna brag about either. Many of these challenges that Ozzy and Sharon and the crew had these contestants do were very appropriate for a competition like battle you gotta want it if you go through all the Ozzy and Sharon had set up.

From out-of-the-way, roomOzzy and Sharon were always watching the competition and giving their opinions about who they thought would progress who they thought would go home and just basically analyzing everything that was happening on the competition.

There was a controversial game at the the they were gonna bite the head off Ozzie was associated with, but no no in truth. They were just hot dogs made by Ozzie himself just regular hot dogs, but still a lot of them band members from all the had their own ethical reasons not to do it, but you know it was know stringing them along having to go with him you know and it was really made by Ozzie himself if I didn’t mention it already.

I think it one or two members of slipknot who willingly brought the members participating in this competition on stage with them to have them do these competitions and stuff too. Some of the competitions were having introduce the bands and acting as their and you it’s about anything you can think of these bands Really give it their all and their best shot and they were all successful. The one band that was more successful as the one that one of course but they all work their hardest.

A lot of the bands competing in the battle for us for his competition had the sound of current metal and they all had really good in their own rights. Some of the bands were growling vocals others were straight vocals, you know, but still they these bands that were chosen for battle forest had a lot of promise to them all except for the one guy that had to wear his hair all chopped up after screwing up.
