Meanwhile, Landi’s vocal performance proved to be an unexpected challenge. Despite recording on a high-end microphone in pursuit of a polished final take, none of the new versions could replicate the raw, unfiltered passion of his original demo. Recognizing the power in its imperfection, Landi made the bold choice to keep the demo take, ensuring that the song retained the intimate, unguarded quality that makes it so affecting.
