I just watched Olivia Rodrigo’s Driving home 2 U and it was excellent. It was great seeing her process. I am writing this the day of the Grammys. I am hoping at the end of this I can say she has won a lot of Grammys and maybe even the Big Four.

Back to Driving home 2 u.

I love hearing the stories behind the songs. Happier was the first song she wrote for the album. I loved the way she preformed it in the movie. It was just her and her band in different rooms of her house.

I can not believe that Brutal was made that quick and with just something Dan thought of on the spot. That is something that can only happen when people know and trust each other. Dan is the reason why she made the best debut album ever and why her first single was a perfect song.

I love the trust they have in each other. There is a part toward the end where Olivia says she wants Brutal as the first single and Dan says really that just made my job hard.

For the song Enough for You she really did not like it. She thought it sounded like everything else on the album. She was having trouble making it sound different and to get it where she liked it.

Jealousy, Jealousy was early on, and she talks about her online presences and not being good enough.

I love the story Olivia tells about Hope U R Ok. She went and asked her dad what the best hand in poker was and he replied royal flush. She responded I can make that rhyme.

For the song Traitor I like that Olivia likes the same line most everyone else does and can connect to it. The line is “I know you did not cheat but you’re still a traitor”.

I love how the film opens. She is in the car hearing Drivers License for the first time on the radio. That must have been an amazing feeling. To hear all your hard work on the radio.

Another thing I think is amazing is Olivia’s ability to perform her songs in a different way every time. The best example of this was when she did Good 4 U. It was slower and less angry. I think this is a sign of a great artist. I also did not realize that her whole band is female. That is awesome. There are very few female drummers in the industry.

I just finished the Grammys, and I am not happy. I am glad she won Best New Artist. She also won best Pop Album. She also won best Pop Solo Performance for Drivers License. She only won one of the Big Four and that was best New Artist.

Drivers License should have won more. It was the biggest song of the last year. It was the best debut single ever. It broke all kinds of records. I think I would feel different if it would have won Song or Record of the year. Those went to Silk Sonic and Album went to the person that had the most nominations Jon Batista

I know the Grammys like different. That is evident by who won this year. Two years ag another young artist that has a different sound did something that has only been done once before. That person is Billie Eilish. What she did was win all four big awards that night and she did it with a Debut album. I think Olivia should have done the same thing this year. I know she has a more traditional sound, but she had the best debut single and album I have ever heard. So far, she has won 28 awards for her debut album and singles. That is more than Billie had.

Overall, she is doing great. I just wish she would have at least one more Grammy for Drivers License. A final note on the Grammys Billie had the best performance of the night.

I know this has been a wild for her and her first album. I and the World cannot wait to see what she comes up with next, If the unreleased songs are any indication the sky is the limit.
