Oasis Come to Save Us?

Definitely maybe?

Alright R'kid so are we gonna talk about this big Oasis announcement, and potential reunion or what?

A lot of people are speculating as to why this is happening, is it because of Noel's expensive divorce, but I like to think that two brothers who just missed each other decided to pick up the phone and sort things out, but however it came about don't look a gift horse in the mouth!

You see here in Manchester England we are home to ALOT of great music spanning across every genre you can think of, from The Smiths, to Simply Red, James, The Happy Mondays, New Order/ Joy Division and Take That to name a few. Manchester has always been first when it comes to music, and in my opinion always will be, but nothing is more synonymous with Manchester than Oasis meaning as soon as people mention Manchester in the same breath, they mention Oasis. When I was 16 I travelled to America to visit family, someone said to me "You sound like Liam Gallagher when you speak and yes, yes I do! Oasis in my opinion are everything that Manchester is, gritty, hardworking and poetic. With every note that Liam sings you can hear the cry of the city.

Manchester is a beautiful city, but it's been well documented that its had its hard times, in recent years. One thing I've always loved about Oasis is that their lyrics are always so uplifting with a message of strength and empowerment in every track. In Manchester there is a certain swagger about the city a swagger that has only been amplified with the presence of Oasis (look up the Manchester Walk) if you know you know! Oasis could be your best friends, you feel like you could go and watch Manchester City play on a Saturday with them (I've come across Noel at a few games and Johnny Marr of The Smiths too, they love the blues!)

I don't know what this announcement will be tomorrow the word is some big stadium dates, and although I would love that as I was a very little six year old when Oasis first landed in 1994. I would be happy with an album, but I'm ready to sell my soul for rock n' roll when the tickets finally do go on sale I will tell you that! Whatever the outcome (see what I did there) the Gallagher brothers are talking again after fifteen years and all is right with the world, so for everyone that needs to hear this right now, if Noel and Liam can break no contact after fifteen years there is still hope for you, and that person on your mind, trust me. I think I'm talking to myself there too!

Lets just all think positively and hope it's not another greatest hits, or an Oasis box set, and to the band if you're reading this...(you are so not reading this!) now is not the time for jokes, so if this is a joke please tell us now.

If this is not a joke then I am so grateful I get to witness this as an adult, and if this all is true you don't know what you've done for Manchester, no you don't know what you have done for the world!

" Some might say, we will find a brighter day"
