In the ever-evolving world of electronic music, few artists are making waves quite like Ne|bu. Hailing from Italy, Ne|bu has quickly carved out a name for himself by blending Afrohouse, house, and electronic beats into a unique sound that’s both captivating and infectious. With his latest track "Hypnotized" gaining significant attention, the rising DJ and producer is set to take the global stage by storm.

In this interview, which has been translated from Italian to English, Ne|bu opens up about his musical journey, the inspiration behind his tracks, and how his Italian roots influence his genre-blending style.

From the creative process behind "Hypnotized" to his thoughts on spirituality and the power of social media, Ne|bu shares his vision for the future and offers valuable advice to aspiring artists looking to make their mark in the music industry. Get ready to dive into the mind of an artist who’s redefining the sound of modern dance music.

You’re known for blending Afrohouse, house, and electronic music. How would you describe your unique sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?

I'm trying to mix afrohouse with more lively tones, even with strong bass like John Summit.

What inspired you to start producing and DJing, and how did your journey in music begin in Italy?

I found my passion by pure chance, watching videos on YouTube and having a studio available. I made it my obsession

Your new track "Hypnotized" is out now. Can you share what the creative process was like behind the track? What message or vibe were you hoping to convey?

My new bravo wanted to be an experiment, without expectations, a sort of test to understand if the warm, summery and engaging vibes that I intend to transmit through my sound reach the public or not. I'm trying my hand at sound design and consequently I gave a lot of importance to the coherence of each sound with the song.

How does your Italian background influence your music, particularly when it comes to the fusion of different genres like Afrohouse and house?

I actually don't know how to answer. I grew up with hip hop and emerging artists who rap. Maybe it's thanks to this that I understood that my vibes were different from that world and I let myself go to electronics.

What role does spirituality or your personal experiences play in your music creation? Is there a deeper meaning behind "Hypnotized" that you want your listeners to connect with?

Spirituality is everything to me. The song as I said is mostly a Trojan horse, so it has no other origins and particular purposes. It will definitely be different in the future: spirituality is a value of mine and that's what I want to convey.

Can you tell us about the experience of getting "Hypnotized" on platforms like Spotify? How important is streaming to your career as a DJ and producer?

I've relied on distrokid, which needs no introduction. Streams are definitely important to advance in your career, but right now I'm not aiming for those.

What has the reception been like for your music, both in Italy and internationally? How do you see your music reaching a global audience?

My music will reach other levels, not now but definitely later in time. It's my obsession and I won't stop training and improving.

You’ve have a growing presence on social media, like Instagram and YouTube. How do these platforms help you connect with your fans, and how do you use them to share your music journey?

I hope that those who follow me interact with me through feedback. They are very useful and I treasure them. For now I don't have much to share but I'm trying to do my best to make that aspect appealing too.

In the rapidly evolving world of music, how do you stay inspired and continue to push the boundaries of your sound?

I listen to new music every day all day. Even old music. Everything.

Looking forward, what are your goals for the rest of 2025? Any exciting projects, collaborations, or upcoming performances we can look forward to?

I'll definitely release more tracks and improve, improve and improve. Then who knows, maybe I'll reach a few more streams.

For aspiring producers or DJs who look up to you, what advice would you offer them as they start their journey in the music industry?

I don't think I'm in the position to do it haha

Finally, what's next for Ne|bu? Do you have any plans for a full album or more singles after "Hypnotized"?

Who knows. New music will definitely come out
