So, a little backstory. I used to listen to “oldies” or music from the 50s and 60s when I was younger despite growing up in the 90s. I started getting into metal and rap when I was older, as it was more relatable at that time. Though I still appreciated older music. Now, I appreciate all music, but have made a list of what I think are the most relatable (and awesome) metal songs. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Whenever I’m feeling anything, from happy to sad, to angry or excited, there’s always a metal song that fits my needs! Which is awesome!

When I was a teenager, I’d often feel alone or left out, and my favorite metal song to listen to was Freak on a Leash, by Korn. That’s how I felt, so it was relatable. I hope you enjoy!

I also felt like running away often. This was because of a fight or getting made fun of or another such problem. Another metal song I really liked was Linkin Park, Runaway. I hope you can relate or at least enjoy this classic!

And who can forget In The End?!?! I think everyone feels like this sometimes! Linkin Park was an amazing band! I was lucky enough to see them in concert in 2002. You’ll be dearly missed, Chester!

Now when I’m angry, I love listening to Break Stuff by Limp Bizket. Who doesn’t want to smash something to smithereens sometimes?

When I’m in the mood for something heavy and new, Lorna Shore hits the spot with Sun Eater and To the Hellfire! This just makes me want to scream, especially when I already feel like screaming! How does he scream so loud though?

And of course, to the hellfire! Amazing! Those vocals and pig noises are incredible!

When I feel like people are playing games with me, there’s Disturbed, The Game. It’s awesome, because it begs the question, if they win, what do I do now?

When I don’t know what metal song to listen to, I listen to Leo Moracchioli, who is an artist that does incredible, amazing remix’s of lots of songs! He’s amazing and has done metal covers and remixes of literally hundreds of songs that are traditionally not metal. Much respect to him!

When I’m in the mood for foreign metal, I listen to Rammstien, The Hu, and Bloodywood! Rammstien is from Germany, The Hu is from Mongolia and Bloodywood is from India! All amazing metal bands with unique styles using traditional ancient instruments to make modern day metal!

Rammstien

The Hu

Bloodywood

I also like Alien Weaponry a lot, their songs are tough and make me feel like a tough guy! Plus Kai Tangata has historical value. It has some history of Hawaii on it.

Pantera has a song Walk, which helps get me out of bed in the morning and go for a walk!

Gojira song Silvera reminds us that if we change ourselves we change the world! Change the world, people! Love it!

And while this song isn’t metal, it’s from a metal band. Lonely day by System of a Down is good for when I’m lonely.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DnGdoEa1tPg&pp=ygUcc3lzdGVtIG9mIGEgZG93biBsb25lbHkgZGF5IA%3D%3D

Machette by Puya is fun to dance too! If you like metal and love to dance, check it out!

And when life feels like it’s falling apart, who can forget about the Papa Roach classic Last Resort.

So these are a few of the metal bands I can relate too. I hope you enjoy the music. I know I do! I’m also a bit eclectic and enjoy most genres of music. Everything from Jazz to Hip Hop.

Let me know what you think of my list! Cool beans and good luck!

I love Linkin Park and whenever I listen to In The End, tears roll down my cheeks. Chester will forever be remembered. Your taste in music isn't bad and I'd like to listen to Disturbed and The Game because people are playing games with me of late. This is outstanding work.
