After about 8 months, the best girls in the entire world Loona made their comeback with “Why Not?” I've been in orbit since 2016, and so I was very excited to hear about the comeback news. They are my ults and one of my favorite artists, and they never fail me with their music! So I wanna go through track by track and talk about this amazing mini album 12:00. Let’s go!
Track 1: 12:00
Call me biased, but Loona has the best intros ever! The intros are always so epic and immerse you into the album. 12:00 is an exciting intro to the album, but since it’s not an actual song I can’t really rank it. All I have to say, it’s amazing and a great intro.

Track 2: Why Not?
When the news came out Lee Sooman of SM was working with Loona again on the title track, I knew that it would be quite similar to So What? I was expecting a So What 2.0, and we kind of did get that, except it’s way less aggressive and more bouncy and fun. Like So What on first listen it’s weird to digest because of the structure of the song, but it is way more catchier than So What and feels cleaner. So What was darker and more in your face, while Why Not is a funky pop song that’s playful. I really enjoyed this fun element but it was a bit weird on the first few listens. This song is more of a grower, but it grows fast. The Di Di Dam Dam gets stuck in your head and is insanely catchy. Plus I love that it’s a two-part chorus because if it was just Di Di Dam Dam and didn’t add any adlibs then it would’ve been boring. Overall I enjoy this song and love the playfulness of it.

Track 3: Voice
After the bouncy dance-pop song Why Not we slow it a bit down with the retro song Voice. This is a sweet pop song with soft vocals attached to it. It’s a pretty song that evokes a sense of nostalgic love. Then I love the instrumental break after the second chorus, and I can just imagine Loona like the skating place that Vivi and ⅓ were at in Everyday I Love You. Voice is a nice track, but it does leave me wanting more. I don’t know what I want more of though, which is quite confusing. Overall, I really like this track.
9/10

Track 4: Fall Again
Fall Again is another song that reminds me of a nostalgic love. First I want to say Chuu really stuck out to me on this track. Maybe because she has the most lines in the song, but I also think Chuu voice works perfectly with any kind of song. From energetic songs like Heart Attack to slow ballads like Fall Again, she just sticks out. I really love Chuu vocals on this song. Overall I do enjoy the vocals on this song, but other than that Fall Again doesn’t really stick with me. I enjoy this song, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not memorable to me. It’s just alright. It’s beautiful but at the same time kind of bland. It’s definitely my least favorite on the album, but I still like it. It’s just one of the songs I won’t go out of my way to play.

Track 5: Universe
Now here's something special. Universe is another ballad-like song, but this time it doesn’t stay on one note. As the song progresses, it becomes fuller and fuller and really takes you out of this world. I love the part of “Make It Happen To You” and when they say universe. It’s such a relaxing song that’s so whimsical and pretty. I really feel like I’m levitating to space when I listen to the song. It’s such a pretty track, but although it keeps getting fuller I feel it hasn’t become full enough at the end. I wish there was a more epic or theatrical ending to the track, but overall I really love Universe.
9/10

Track 6: Hide & Seek
After the relaxing sound from the last few tracks, we get into another bouncy and fun song called Hide & Seek. This is without a doubt my favorite song on the album, and honestly, this should've been the title track. It’s just as catchy as Why Not but easier to soak in the structure and sound of the song. It’s playful and fun and different from a lot of other Loona songs. It’s also really funky and bouncy, which would make it a great song to perform. I love the vocals and rap parts, and I feel all the girls get a time to shine. Overall I love Hide & Seek. It would’ve been a great title track.
10/10

Track 7: OOPS!
Next, we have OOPS! All I got to say is that this is a bop. It really showcases Loona girl crush side and is oozing with confidence. This is also title track-worthy, but I’m glad they didn’t choose this as the title track because although it’s great it is a basic song. It’s a typical girl crush song. Although basic, I love this song. It’s catchy as hell and overflowing with confidence. It’s great and I enjoy it a lot.
8/10

Track 8: Star (Voice English Version).
Usually, the English version of the song is at an equal level or lower than the original version, but the English version is much more addicting. Maybe because it is in my native language, but Voice is much better in English and sticks out much more. I still feel like something is missing just like in the original version, but I love Star so much, and is a great English pop song.
10/10
Overall I think the 8-month wait was worth it. Loona did an amazing job this comeback and I love them so much. I love this mini album and I hope to God we don’t have to wait so long again for another album.
9/10
