Tammy Reese:
What and/or who inspired you to get into your field(s)?
Keyondra Lockett:
Actually, my supporters. But purpose is why I’ve stayed.
Tammy Reese:
What do you love about the work you do?
Keyondra Lockett:
I love putting a smile on the face of the people. It excites me that people talk about how they are inspired or blessed.
Tammy Reese:
What are some hardships?
Keyondra Lockett:
Missing family when traveling and busy during holidays.
Tammy Reese:
What is your stance on the black lives matter movement?
Keyondra Lockett:
I’m extremely happy to witness people taking a stand for black lives! It’s very important that we publicize the cause for equality. It’s our responsibility to be outspoken about the lives that have been oppressed by an ill established system. With me my sisters brand Jolie Noire, we’ve taken a stance with our clothing line showing how we support and empower the beauty of our culture and our lives.
Tammy Reese:
How has the pandemic changed the work you do and your day-to-day life?
Keyondra Lockett:
Everything is done from home. Everything is comfortable now. But one thing that can’t change is how hard we work. And working from home will kill your work vibe. Lol
Tammy Reese:
What are the most epic moments thus far in your career?
Keyondra Lockett:
Becoming a Billboard Top 15 chart topping artist on my own... No label. My own team. My own money.

Tammy Reese:
What's next for you?
Keyondra Lockett:
I’m releasing my EP Cornerstone and I have a song soon to be released with Q Parker of 112.
Tammy Reese:
What are you currently working on?
Keyondra Lockett:
Gearing up to write for and collaborate with more artists.
Tammy Reese:
What are some social awareness topics do you think our country or the world should be shedding more light on?
Keyondra Lockett:
The issue of Colorism. If black lives matters is going to be strong, we’ve got to truly support and strengthen one another.
Tammy Reese:
What do you think is the future of your field(s)?
Keyondra Lockett:
Continual growth. Strong relevance.
Tammy Reese:
What's some advice for anyone who wants to join your field(s)?
Keyondra Lockett:
Get you a team of people who keep you accountable to the work you’re purposed for. You say you’re called to it, do it. Do the work. And because the slogan, just do it doesn’t always motivate, you have your team.
Tammy Reese:
What's some advice you have for our readers to get through this pandemic?
Keyondra Lockett:
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. And become so grateful with life itself, faith and your family.
