As a newcomer, TanzTherapeut specializes in edm, house and dance music, delighting in the fusion of diverse genres. His repertoire features tracks like "Silent Beat," "Raphael," "Beat of the 90s," and more, demonstrating his versatility and deep passion for crafting vibrant and eclectic musical journeys.

In this Q&A session, TanzTherapeut shares insights into his music and creative process.

Can you tell us about your journey into music?

Honestly, some friends brought me back to music. After two years, I released a song, and some of my close friends said it was completely mainstream, which disappointed me.

Two years later, while discussing my music with another friend, he encouraged me to publish it. Later, when I spoke with my wife about it, she also encouraged me to publish, which surprised me. So, I decided to start again.

Your music blends various genres. How do you approach blending different styles together, and what inspires you to mix genres?

I like it do destroy cliches. If I compose a song, I try to make it different. The idea is to design something that no one expects.

Your recent singles 'Silent Beat,' 'Raphael,' and 'Beat of the 90s' highlight different vibes. What inspired each of these tracks?

Raphael was compose on my birthday, complete without a plan. I was writing my own birthday song and I was liking the sound so I published it.

Beat of the 90´s was my try to combine my experiences, from other songs to something new. I think music as musican is a own journey.

How do you approach incorporating nostalgia from the 90s into your music while maintaining a contemporary EDM sound?

I start by using my loops to compose. I have two go-to groups: one with close friends and another with fellow musicians. In both groups, I seek feedback and discuss aspects that could be improved or what sounds good.

Can you walk us through the production of one of your recent singles? Any particular challenges or breakthrough moments during the process?

The time to design songs increase rapidly from few days to a month. The reason is, that I get with every song a better feeling the sound. So it needs more time on the one hand and on the other hand it sounds better. So it getting more close inside the whole song.

Your stage name, TanzTherapeut, translates to "Dance Therapist." How do dance and movement influence your music creation?

The idea for my songs is, that you could be yourself. And movement is a big part of be yourself.

Your tracks often have a distinct rhythmic structure. How do you approach creating infectious beats that resonate with your audience?

Every of my songs is a feeling. So when I compose I feel the beat. Later, my mind brings in the effects and structures them internally. It might sound strange, but I rely on my instinct for this process.

Live performances are a significant part of EDM culture. Do you, or would you like to, perform live?

Yes, this is one of my biggest dreams.

What song, any song, do you think would be fun to perform live?

The song I Like It.

Do you create music for yourself or for fans?

I was writing a birthday song only for my wife. So yes.

As an artist who embraces genre blending, how do you navigate the balance between experimentation and maintaining your signature sound?

I think if you put all my sounds together, they say "let's celebrate life," so you always get a good feeling. I focus on this feeling with my music. To ensure that, I ask my groups for feedback, which helps me stay true to it.

In the EDM scene, collaboration is often key. Are there any artists you dream of collaborating with in the future, and why?

Yes, one artist is interesting to collaborating with me in September. I was listening to his music and sent him a request. He is a really good artist. He is much bigger than me. He has a focus on trance and I would like to combine again two different genres.

What is the best song you ever released and why?

It´s hard to say but I think I like it. The reason is, that there a all of my experiences with vocals and beats come together.

What song do fans seem to favor?

Right now it´s I like it :)

How do you see the role of technology in shaping the future of EDM and dance music production?

I think technology will come there is no way back. But music is always a feeling. So let´s be optimistic.

Looking ahead, what can fans anticipate from TanzTherapeut in terms of upcoming releases or projects?

You will get less songs but better music. And you will get more deeper better sounds. My new songs will have a much higher quality.
