Growing Up with No5hade

Growing up she always felt different. No5hade states, “I didn’t quite fit in with the. “Cool kids” or the athletes or the nerds. I was kind of my own group. I was always a mix of everything. I played on the cheese team in middle school, ran track and played basketball in high school, and even tried my luck in the French club after school. As I grew older, I became to enjoy the fact that I didn’t fit in any of society’s already made boxes. I was made different. This became more evident as I ventured into my musical journey. My love for rap music pushed me to began diving deep into my own abilities. From rap to R&B. And from R&B to Afrobeat. The love of rap turned into the love of music and it allowed me to express my “different-ness” to the world.

Accomplishments in life with No5hade

When No5hade was younger, she thought her calling was to become a veterinarian. As she grew older, she realized that no matter how much she tried to run from it, she would always be the creative one in the family a.k.a “the black sheep.” Seeing as to how that wasn’t the norm growing up in a Nigerian household. Fast-forward to present day where she’s been blessed with the knowledge of her true passion; however, being able to thrive as a musician is something she always wanted to accomplish. Creating her own way and genre for other artist to explore in is one of the top things on her to-do list. Many artist become legends and create legends by focusing on their path and that’s what No5hade want to do. “Becoming a trendsetter in the music industry”, replied No5hade.

No5hade in Five Years.

In five years from now, No5hade see’s herself well-established in the music and fashion industry (here’s to her manifesting).

No5hade states,

Like many, it just takes a spark to light the next flame of creativity and change. TuPac said it best, but if I should paraphrase, I might not be the next big thing but if I can spark the flame that does, I will have done my job. And as a up and coming artist it takes more than just talking about it to get it done. It takes gracefully taking some L’s before you get that first win or sending your last to get a couple more shows. It takes practice and determination but most of all takes patience. So I will be patiently waiting and grinding none stop to be ready for my turn when it’s time”.

No5hade brings to the music world

As a artist, No5hade strives to be versatile. She’s an artist that appreciates those that have paved the way as well as those that have embraced change within the music industry. As a current Afrobeat/Afro pop/altè artist, her mission is to bring West Africa’s beautiful traditions to the rest of the world. They have many great trendsetters like Wizkid, Teni, Burnaboy and the likes that have paved the way for Nigerian artist to thrive. Although, they have them there still under representation of The First Gen Nigerian-American artist in the music industry. That’s where she comes in, she wants other First Gens to know it’s okay to rep your country and rep it proud as a First Gen.

No5hade Legacy

No5hade wants to leave a legacy of love and freedom. Too much is going on in the world right now. A lot of hate, corruption, and unnecessary death. With all the technology we have and all the resources available, people are still suffering and unable to get the help they need. No5hade wants her music to be an outlet of reassurance, peace, and love. She also want people to feel a little bit of freedom when they play a song or when they lay their heads down to sleep in a home with running water. She also was able to provide giving back to her community. She want to see children smile in schools. She was able to build or single mothers happy with gifts and provisions provided for them and their children from charities No5hade and her team were able to create. She wants to leave a legacy of love and freedom because life is short ,but memories live forever.
