Phil Collins had a string of hits through the 80s and 90s, but has recently become a mainstay of modern listeners after a his music has been rediscovered by a new generation. Thanks to a viral video of two teens discovering for the first time just how amazing "In the Air Tonight" is, Phil is cool again. But with a body of work that spans decades, how do you know where to begin when it comes to discovering his other classic bangers?

There's no need to spend an hour or two digging through Spotify deep cuts to figure out which of Phil's hits still hold up. Here are 11 (because 10 wasn't enough) Phil Collins songs other than "In the Air Tonight" that wont disappoint and could be included on any playlist today.

1. Another Day in Paradise

This song was released in 1989 and written about an encounter with a homeless woman. It has been covered multiple times by other artists, but it was Phil's original version that won the Grammy for record of the year.

2. Sussudio

This is an absolute bop. It's an oldie from 1985, but it's up tempo and oh-so-singable chorus means it deserves a spot on any best of Phil Collins list. The name of the song, "Sussudio", is a nonsense word that Phil claims is a stand in for a girl's name he once had a crush on.

3. You'll be in my Heart

Phil composed the entire soundtrack for the Disney film Tarzan back in 1999. The song "You'll be in my Heart" from that soundtrack turned out to be huge hit and earned him an Oscar for best original song.

4. Against All Odds (Take a Look at me Now)

This hugely popular power ballad was also recorded for a movie soundtrack. The film of the same name was released in 1984, and the title song got Phil his first number one single as a solo artist. "Against All Odds" was later covered by Mariah Carey and Westlife.

5. Take Me Home

This is a great song from Phil's No Jacket Required album. The video for this song featured Phil singing in different places around the world, but for some reason he always seemed to be wearing the same shirt!

6. Dace Into the Light

This is another banger that got tons of radio play back in the 90s. The mid-nineties was the peak of soft rock and "Dance Into the Light" is a great memory from that era.

7. I Wish it Would Rain Down

Here's another super emotional power ballad featuring both a gospel choir and none other than Eric Clapton on guitar. Phil pulled out all the stops for this one, and it's an absolute must-add to any post-breakup playlist. You'll be cathartically singing along with this one. Trust me.

9. Something Happened on the Way to Heaven

This one's a bit dramatic. Phil did go through a whole brass band and horns phase, but it's such a memorable tune that it just had to make this list.

10. Don't Lose My Number

Another absolute bop. The groove in this song is so addictive you'll have it on repeat. It's also more reminiscent of a few of Phil's songs with his old band, Genesis.

11. Both Sides of the Story

This is an amazing song and a quintessential Phil Collins classic. Give it a listen. Not only does it have a great message, but it's still totally relevant today. Trust me, it'll become an instant favorite.

Well, that should be a good gateway into the greatness at is Phil Collins, but in case you didn't know, he had a very long career as the frontman for the band Genesis before going solo. Their mega hits like "Land of Confusion", "I Can't Dance", and "Turn it on Again" are masterpieces of prog-rock. Interested? Everything you need to know about Genesis can be found below. Happy listening!
