A flaming redhead echoes her drums

the resounding crescendo

carries fiercely across the void

upon the crying wind

heralding hope for a people

as she hears the distant whispered

angry screaming

sounds of war

the banging of the freedom drums

fire and ice in the sound

ta tam, TA TAM, TA DAM, bam BA BAM

BAM BAM BAM BA BAM!

drowning out the

screams of blood and death

she envisions you

deep dread

painting your heart red

in anger

in fear

knelt within your broken home

young children screaming

women protesting

injustice reigning

as the bombs fall

too close for comfort

too late for

consolation

the drums, they beat

ta tam, TA TAM, TA DAM, bam, BA BAM

BAM BAM BAM BA BAM!

as planes, jets of war scream overhead

the rat a tat of gunfire

amid screams of death

sound in the near distance

no more! you scream

tucking the little ones

among broken things

you in anger

charge the beast

weapon raised

ready to fight

to no avail

they are long gone

their weapon of destruction

damage done

is off to wreak death

elsewhere

the drums, they beat

ta tam, TA TAM, TA DAM, bam, BA BAM

BAM BAM BAM BA BAM!

on and on, no end in sight

FREEDOM! you scream

we will fight for freedom

from tyranny

what right have you?

demanding our lives

our blood, our land

for your mad illusions

and delusions

we shall be free

we shall fight

the drums will beat

ta tam, TA TAM, TA DAM, bam, BA BAM

BAM BAM BAM BA BAM!

do you hear the freedom drums

the crying winds

mourning for the world?

demanding it's moment of freedom!

imploring peace

aching

FOR FREEDOM!
