Courtney “O.C.” Smith has worked with and on projects with a host of Mainstream Brands and Artists such as: Future, Young Thug, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Taylor Gang, BET, Empire Distribution, Virgin Music, Universal Music Group, Love and Hip Hop, and Lifetime Television.

Courtney is also a Public Relations Specialist and Official Manager for music artists Yung Smilez and Worldwide Wednesday.

Courtney lovingly is known as “O.C.” by many in the Public Relations arena, never intended to stay in the Public Relations field (nor any particular field at all) she truly follows her heart. However, after amassing thousands of contacts across industries she decided to create a Public Relations Firm “Bracey & Co.”

Bracey & Co. is truly dedicated to empowering young talents and emerging brands through development and strategic vision.

All in All, Courtney started these endeavors to create financial and lifestyle freedom for herself. Courtney enjoys taking her social media followers along her journey through work-life balance.

As Courtney continues to explore her multitude of passions in life she wants to spread joy, love, and generosity. Courtney “O.C.” Smith hopes to inspire many people to follow their dreams!!!

Tammy Reese: What are some of the latest rojects you are working on and most excited about?

Courtney O.C. Smith-Bracey: I am most excited about making forays into the philanthropic arena.

I am fully committed to donating up to 100% of all proceeds from Bracey & Company to various charitable causes all over the world. However, I am placing a huge emphasis on supporting Children and Families of the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast regions of the United States.

I'm always excited about my Artists Yung Smilez and Worldwide Wednesday growing and evolving.

Recently, on April 7th Yung Smilez performed alongside Fetty Wap at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. It was his biggest show to date! It brings me joy to watch him grow!

Tammy Reese: What's a hidden fun fact about yourself?

Courtney O.C. Smith-Bracey: In early 2021, I became one of the first Black Women to be in the NFT Industry. I am pretty sure I am actually the first Black Woman in the NFT space, only time will tell.

I really took a leap of faith with some friends and began consulting on Celebrity NFT projects. It's been a fun journey.

Tammy Reese: How would you describe your personality?

Courtney O.C. Smith-Bracey: I love to have fun! I'm known to be sarcastic and find a sense of humor in everything. I am not afraid to say nor do anything. It's no secret that I wear my heart on my sleeve.

Tammy Reese: What does being an entrepreneur mean for you?

Courtney O.C. Smith-Bracey: Being an entrepreneur allows me freedom. Freedom to express and freedom to create.

Tammy Reese: How had the pandemic made you a better person and businesswoman?

Courtney O.C. Smith-Bracey: The pandemic taught me to roll with the punches! As a beta-millennial, I feel like I've been through almost every type of historical event, except slavery. I have always been one to adjust and adapt. Except during the pandemic, I have had to adjust something in my business practices or life, drastically almost every month.

Tammy Reese: What's something you have recently learned?

Courtney O.C. Smith-Bracey: Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.

Tammy Reese: What do you hope for yourself this year?

Courtney O.C. Smith-Bracey: I hope I will continue to never shy away from nor doubt my power.
