Since I was a wee boy of 12, This song stood for EXACTLY how I felt about a crush who wouldn’t accept my feelings or give me the time of day because I dressed a certain way and unfortunately looked a certain way, which the lyrics are pretty keen on shouting “F*** YOU” about. Or rather… “Forget You” Which I subsequently did...4 years later...eventually.

Whatever.

This song helped me to sing out my hurt feelings in a fun and jovial way, which I think is highly in spirits of being anti-Valentine’s day. NEXT.

A slower vibe, you can bob your head to, you can soulfully hum to it, really sink yourself into feeling that the person you thought you wanted to spend time with- was actually someone who wanted to change everything about youtube suit THEIR needs. Double-u, tee, eff.

Total nonsense. This song helped me to move along and the title alone did get me to think about what it is I actually love about myself, rather than focus on what others think needs changing. I’m effing awesome. NEXT.

Hell yeah, I truly and deeply hope you give them hell instead of me, that’s what I deeply wish for. Make someone else’s life miserable for once. This song was there for me in my and everyone’s “Emo-Phase” and still serves as one HELL of a great song to really throw your whole back into. NEXT.

DaveDays Cover of Taylor Swift - We Are Never Getting Back Together

I’ve left links to all these songs, and just go and give them a listen to really feel the Anti-Valentines. I think his version of the song gives a bit of an edge where it’s needed. I’ve always enjoyed Taylor swift’s musical stylings, and DaveDays only serves to enhance where her style couldn’t go. It might be because of the Male Vocals, but nevertheless, this was the version I found first, and “Anti-Valentine’s Day” fell in love with.
