Singer, Anthony Rhyne also known as the ‘Memphis King of R&B’ was homeless with his mom from the ages of 10 to 15 years old. “We used to have to sleep from home to home and we really struggled to make ends meet,” he said. Rhyne explained that it was around the age of 15-years-old that he started working and hustling to help his mother with the workload and many of the responsibilities of everyday living. “Seeing my mom struggle and always being hungry really built my work ethic. I used to sell my CDs all day and night in any weather,” he said. When Rhyne was around 18-years-old he said things got better for him and his mother. He was able to save up $20,000 to pay for a down -payment on their first home. The upcoming singer thanks Jesus for blessing him with the amazing gift.
