An Intro
Intro for the website and an introduction on me

Hello to all that read this.
I want to introduce myself to you. I must confess I'm not the best author in the world. I'm not that interesting and I'm definitely not that successful. However, I do wish to share with you my adventures into the 'Music' world and my experience of being a DIY artist. Now, I have been a musician, so to speak for around four years or so. Starting out I thought just practising was the key, while very important, if no one hears your sounds how can you make it your life? So after more practice and then even more practice, I grew to love music. All I wanted to do was music. But how then to do that and earn a living. I had always imagined one day I would wake up and be really successful. All that practise meaning something. That day has not come yet and without tons of work, I dare say it never will.
Joining an established band seemed like a smart idea. A band that can get gigs, even if very rare, was a great idea to get experience. I didn't like the music too much but they did write it themselves so I had to respect that. It was punk, nothing really special. There were better bands, there were worse bands and their lyrics really sucked. It did give me some great experiences and I made a really, truly great friend. To get a grounded experience of what band life was like was truly eye-opening. There was never any money in it. I never received a penny from any CD sales or Gigs. All the money was hoarded away, stolen from me, put towards making the band successful, which never happened. It never benefited me in any way. I gained no credit or recognition but I did learn many valuable lessons. Other than the music itself you need three components in order to be a successful band. Trust, vision and planning. Without this, in truth, you will never be successful.
I trust myself, I have a vision and I have a plan (I think). So why aren't I successful yet myself? Well, there's also two other factors that hard work and time. These two things being pretty obvious. It doesn't all happen overnight. During the lockdown, I had no means to form my own band and really tons of time on my hands. Most of the time I wasted I will admit that for sure. However, since the middle of July, I have decided to focus and publish my own music. I didn't have too many ideas about how exactly to go about this. Put my music online and friends and family will support me? No. That's not exactly how it works. Even if you do get some support you will find it hard to sell your music in vast quantities let alone get thousands of streams. I feel like now I might just be getting somewhere but I've still got a lot to learn. But hey that's why I'm here, writing this article.
