Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of lost dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

Verse One

Paper kings with their paper crowns

Building Castles, tall and proud

Until the wind and the rain come down

Towers falling all around

With their paper crowns

Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of lost dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

Verse Two

Paper faces in paper crowds

Paper numbers floating round

Paper ratings from paper crowds

Until the paper masks come falling down

Showing only paper bounds

Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of lost dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

Verse Three

Paper ballets and paper votes

Paper counting and paper most

Until the checking of the paper votes

Paper floating through the boxes close

Paper ballets as paper votes

Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

Verse Four

Paper books with their paper facts

Paper pages with ink soaked backs

Until the paper facts are checked

Bleeding through the paper impacts

Paper books are paper in fact

Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of lost dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

Verse Five

Paper armies and their paper power

Paper victories with paper powder

Until a greater enemy showers greater power

Paper armies fold like a flower

Paper power is much fouler

Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of lost dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

Verse Six

Paper kings with their paper crowns

Paper face in paper crowds

Paper ballets and paper votes

Paper books with their paper facts

Paper armies and their paper power, in fact

Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of lost dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

Verse Seven

Paper hearts fawning love

As if it is from above

Till the coldness flies in like a dove

Broken heart with no love

Ashes surrounding the heart like a glove

Chorus

All the world is sad you see

All the world is full of lost dreams

All the things that will never be

All the world is on a string

All the world is on a string

This song has been in my head for a long time. It was inspired by my workplace. At first, it did, but to see it in all aspects of life. It represents the fakeness in many things in life.   Seeing how many things seem so fake and show themselves as such is the story.  The rises and falls of those and things that are so fake were the reason.   It has been on my mind along with so many other songs trying to better show my emotions.   I hope you enjoy and possibly relate to the music.
