7 Incredible Rock Songs You've Probably Never Heard
Here's seven stunning tracks with guitar solos to blow your mind and lyrics to touch your heart.

I don't know about you, but aside from the music I've played over and over for years, I'm always looking for a couple of new songs that'll really add to my playlist and move me, emotionally and physically.
Here you'll find some of my favourite rock songs that I can't get enough of. Some of them have metal-inspired elements to them, with stunning guitar solos, and others are exactly what you expect from a rock song. A couple are inspired by love, which'll get you feeling, others are just straight up rock that'll get you amped for anything.
So, without further ado, let's rock!
1. Let it Burn - Cold Kingdom

This is quite the track to start off with. Gorgeous, powerful vocals, awesome guitar and drumming, and possibly the best drop I've ever heard in a rock song. If you get shivers from music, this is the kind of song that'll do the trick. I get them just from the anticipation of that drop with this song! The solo is seriously stunning too. My favourite song from Cold Kingdom.
2. Another Angel Down - Avantasia

This is a bit different for Avantasia - it's more of a radio-friendly track than their standard power metal epics.
It's a power metal-leaning rock song that has so much energy! The powerful vocals against the stunning drumming and guitar work really complete this song. There's also a damn good solo in this song, truly glorious to listen to, you can lose yourself in it! If you're a metal lover, you'll love this track too.
3. Stay With Me - Thrice

Who doesn't love an apocalyptic love song? This song's lyrics are absolutely beautiful, and really place you there in their war-torn world. The singer saved someone in the midst of the war, and then they fell in love with one another. He worries their love will cease if the world goes back to normal. The vocals are impassioned and the music fits them perfectly. Gorgeous song and really worth a listen.
4. Cassiopeia - Deaf Havana

This is one of those songs that's a bonus track and you wonder why it isn't on the album itself. Deaf Havana are an alternative rock band from England. I first properly heard this track live, and immediately fell in love with it.
Cassiopeia is a gritty track. The music fits the song perfectly. The lyrics are descriptive and the story itself is really intriguing. The chorus is beautiful, heartfelt and something I can feel underneath my skin.
(If you can look past the singer's worrying narcissistic traits displayed in the verse after the chorus, which is a pretty common theme with their music, it's a real winner!)
5. The Otherside - Red Sun Rising

One thing you can always expect to hear with hard rock band Red Sun Rising is incredible vocals. The Otherside is catchy, with great lyrics and vocals that shine as bright as Sirius. One of my favourite songs of theirs!
I reviewed the album Polyester Zeal here.
6. Take You With Me - Tremonti

This track is really good - it's so catchy! It's almost got love song vibes with the lyrics, as well an awesome rock sound; the outro is a stunning guitar solo. Tremonti's music generally leans more towards speed metal, but there's some rockier songs thrown in the mix too.
I reviewed the album A Dying Machine here.
7. Spooks in the Attic - Edguy

This track delivers a rock-feel with power metal-esque vocals and guitar. As usual with Edguy, there's really interesting lyrics, but delivered in a way that makes it special. Even with lyrics such as "tearing me apart, you never really care", it's somehow still a great feel-good song. The solo is really stunning. Totally recommend!
