An explosive Instagram Live unmasks influencer culture in Netflix's "Celebrity."
Celebrity is a 2023 Netflix series that explores the ruthless, hypocritical, and beneficial power of social media between influencers and their followers. Seo A-ri's (Park Gyu-young) disinterest in social media, particularly Instagram, only lasted so long once she became aware of its full power, especially through the life of her former classmate, Oh Min-hye (Jun Hyo-seong). A spoiler warning and sensitive topics (including mental illness, bullying, etc.) warning are in effect! A decision to overcome the mockers and harness the power of Instagram to restore her family to their former high social class leads to significant discoveries socially, mentally, and financially. Quite frankly, I loved the Seo A-ri character for her iconic bob and confidence. I was always so proud of her and her moments despite her trials. Her determination is aspirational, especially when she triumphed over so much with the help of _bbbfamous (Kim Noh-jin) and others, such as her coworker and friend, Yoon Jeong-sun (Park Ye-ni).

The support in "Living Single" with friends.
Six friends and neighbours are stuck like glue as they navigate relationships, careers, and other aspects of life within their brownstones in Brooklyn, New York. A spoiler warning is in effect! Khadijah (Queen Latifah), her cousin Synclaire (Kim Coles), her university friend Maxine (Erika Alexander), and her childhood friend Regine (Kim Fields) comprise the female members of the friend group. Kyle (Terrence Carson) and his childhood friend Overton (John Henton) are their neighbours and the male counterparts of the group. They have their opinions of each other and their ways of dealing with one another. The show utilizes a realistic approach considering their arguments and how they work things out as roommates. This is seen when Kyle and Overton fought, and he stayed at the girls' apartment, similar to Regine's fight with Khadijah which resulted in her moving out before her return.

The Peripheral-a review
There's something dry about a lot of British content and that's present in this, so it feels drawn on despite the interesting premise of the series. It might also be because of the explanations due to the complexity of everything but oh well. The technological aspects and developments were wonderfully done though. Burton is great and his friends are great too. Although, they still don't associate with their old friend, Tommy. Tommy, oh Tommy. I got tired of seeing Tommy investigating each time but I also felt bad as he was lied to each time he asked his friends about what was happening. Even though they grew up together, he's still the deputy sheriff and that hat would come on quickly no matter the moment. I was happy for his villain arc though, even though it was short-lived. I felt bad for him because his dreams were crushed among other things. However, he should have made sure he used the doodad to kill properly if he was even going to try as he did with the gun, especially on unhinged Corbell Pickett who would definitely retaliate once recovered. I felt bad for Jasper, Corbell's nephew but I felt even worse for his wife, Billy Ann who always encouraged and discouraged him when necessary. She's a great friend to Flynne though. I don't like Wilf or Wolf Gang and I will not get over it. Aelita was such a good person and sister to him but he kept doing things which he felt bad for I guess. Aelita didn't want him to change his name and said she wouldn't go without him but he bucked up and became Wilf to the racist adopters.

The Morning Show-a review
I have so many opinions about this show but I am including some. This show is truly the best thing I've seen Jennifer Aniston in. It is such a great depiction of her skills and range. She's phenomenal in this. I love Reese in this as well. She is outstanding, as are many of the other actors, which speaks of the show's quality. I liked the progression of Alex and Bradley's friendship over the three seasons. Charlie really could have stayed in the snowy mountains with his girlfriend, but he left immediately after Alex showed up. The exposure of his love for her explained this and much more behind his devotion. I was happy for Mia's promotion despite the origin of it. Yanko's character changed. Cory was horrible after he got more power in season 2. He was light, happy, and funny in season 1.

Inkabi-a review
Inkabi is a 2024 South African movie about a retired Zulu hitman or "Inkabi" returning to a not-so-quiet lifestyle. These hitmen, each called an Inkabi, view themselves as warriors enlisted in a great service shaped by rules and traditions they must obey. Being a warrior is a thing of honour, as seen through Scar's (Dumisani Dlamini) persistence to receive favour. They are given targets and paid for their services, which must be carried out unless death takes them. They are not to be enemies of each other as they value the brotherhood from the lonely lifestyle. Scar is a traditionalist. His determination to continue abiding by the culture is portrayed through his persistent efforts to execute the order against Lucy (Michelle Tiren) and as he berates Frank (Tshamano Sebe). This belief to carry out the mission regardless is portrayed excellently by Scar's actions as he sought out several ways, including the abduction of Lucy's daughter, Angela (Andile Masai).

Sweet & Sour-a review
This is cute and all but how long was he in here? Da-eun and Hyeok have a nurse and patient relationship that grew over time. He's an engineering grad with a job offer and she's a recent grad working a tiring job. Wow, he was determined to call her! The text memes are hilarious. A wonderful well-paced view of their relationship. The name is a choice but it does apply to the movie's subject of love either staying sweet or turning sour. It also applies to their relationship shaped by self-esteem and care through food and weight. He lost weight as he wanted. Love the support from Hyeok's boss but as she said he should have discussed the relocating and new position with her. Da-eun's boss is still a hater though. He bought Da-eun a ring and a car promising to drive back every day. However, he has to over-perform because he finds out he isn't the only new transfer. He gets into a rivalry with Bo-yeong and that's all he talks about but Da-eun supports him still. This man was so happy when he got his revenge. Due to their tedious plans, Da-eun suggests they meet that weekend instead and they agree. Who is this hater who keeps trying to encourage him to get with Bo-yeong? Also, different kinds of foods are included in this.
