Learning to let go of the past
The girl in the photo is me… at least, according to A.I. Despite the fearful discourse surrounding AI and its ramifications, I actually find the concept to be fascinating. So much so that one night, while on Facebook, I started playing around with a few new AI generators they added to the system. The picture up above is the one (out of a few dozen) that struck me the most, only because she is the “me” I always wished to be. The “me” I imagined I would like one day. The “me” living the life I thought I would have. The perfect version of myself; the person I wanted to grow up to be.

In the late spring of 1998, when I was a little more than eleven years old, I got myself into the worst trouble you could ever imagine: I fell down in abandoned cave. Well, no one could ever say I was the most graceful student there was (in fact, many people frequently went out of their way to tell me just the opposite). I was also never the most dedicated student either. I goofed off a lot, I slacked on my studies, I drove my teachers up-the-wall crazy with my antics (usually it was deliberate, but sometimes it was accidental).
