Montréal vs. Toronto. Top Story - October 2023.
Another summer is heading to the hills… That means that winter is coming to Montreal and many of my friends in England, Australia and anywhere else where the sun will keep shining past five in the evening wonder why I am still here. Why put up with the cold, the ice you don’t always see until it is under your back, the loss of mobility and the unending snow?

Sue for Peace
Note: this came out of my own frustrations with the situation in the Middle East and a student's inquiry into my thoughts and feelings about it. I know that all I have is a page and my imagination to launch a pretty weak arrow at a beast that will not go away, but I have to say something...and I have.

You Need to Hear This
Note: I am a little late to the challenge, but I am intrigued... Dear Heather Hubler, I was very interested in this particular challenge. After the last few weeks, I feel like I deserve the right to rant, no matter what the restrictions might be.

The End of the Long Dash
Now, I am very upset. From Wikipedia: The National Research Council Time Signal was Canada's longest running radio program, begun November 5, 1939 until its final broadcast on 9 October, 2023. Broadcast daily shortly before 13:00 Eastern Time across the CBC Radio One network, it lasted between 15 and 60 seconds, ending exactly at 13:00...The segment was discontinued in part due to concerns about accuracy as the CBC's feed is distributed over the internet and satellite as well as conventional radio.

He could make it to the Wednesday – the beloved Hump Day – without wanting to punch out anyone in his office (paperwork kept him at his desk, but they knew where it was, or where he would sneak off to when he thought that they did not need him around to be annoyed with extra work). But through that Thursday…

Touching a Star
Okay, I am definitely not cool. Sometimes, you will have old thoughts and ideas in your mind, and you can call them up when you are trying to find another piece to add to the Vocal community. I have been working on two separate pieces and am near completion on both of them, but I also made a list of people which I cannot ignore. One thing about travelling and having an interest in art and culture is that you want to know who did what and how they did what. And if you get the chance, you want the chance to talk to them.
