A Midnight Dance in the Mushroom Ring - Exclusive Edition
Audio Reading with Text, Insights, and More
Welcome to my first poetry exclusive article! This poem, 'A Midnight Dance in the Mushroom Ring', was my second top story ever. It was never for a challenge or anything, it just came to me one night when I was just pleasure reading some old Welsh and Scottish fairy stories. Not the cutesy 'Tinker Bell' ones, but the old ones, the ones that often keep children up at night with all manner of nightmare: changelings, vengeful spirits, and the strange remote places that the fair folk call home and other such eldritch fare. I think those are the best poems, the ones that just come to you without warning and beg you to write them despite the fact that the clock says it's just shy of 2 AM.
