Morning came with an abruptness that I won’t soon forget. The first thing I remember when waking up was pain. The pain of being shoved off a couch from a warm and peaceful sleep is not something that many people would forget. It took a moment to realize where I was and what had just happened, but by the time I was awake enough to know what was going on Stephanie was screaming through the house, both literally and figuratively as she searched for her clothing and her other belongings.

Work smart not hard
I grew up living a life where I prided myself on working hard. As a result I never really had the time for cooking an elaborate meal. I also liked to have variety, but I didn't really like to work hard for it. So although I never had a recipe that I cherished I learned how to cook in large portions specifically to make freezer meals and make life a little less hectic when I had other things to deal with in life anyway.
