Deeply woven into the fabric of ancient Egyptian belief, these beetles were symbols of life, regeneration, and divine guidance. And while July is most often paired with ruby or garnet, sacred scarabs also resonate with this sun-drenched month - offering powerful imagery for poets who seek to explore themes of rebirth, transformation, and sacred cycles.

As the alternative birthstone for July, due to it's rich symbolic associations, garnet carries a quiet but powerful energy, deeply rooted in mythology, healing traditions, and emotional intensity. It doesn’t shout like ruby; it simmers. And that simmering, that undercurrent of fire and memory, makes it perfect for poetic inspiration.
