Finals Game Three: Legends
June 9, 2011. That was the last time the NBA Finals hit the city of Dallas. It was Game Five that year and the Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat (during the Heat's first year with LeBron James) to go up 3-2, and took Game Six in Miami to win their first NBA Championship. Here it is, 13 years and 3 days later, and the Mavericks are on their home court in a tight situation. They are down 2-0 after losing twice in Boston, and they are looking to make a dent in their deficit in Game Three.

CFL Week 1 Recap: Bonjour
The Canadian Football League season is back, and as usual, I'm here for all of it! I've mentioned this before regarding my CFL fandom; I've been fascinated by Canada's version of the game for a long time, and I finally started watching the CFL back in 2013. Yeah, hard to believe it's been over a decade since I started watching this, and the games are just amazing. The CFL makes the wait for the NFL a lot easier. The NFL has the longest offseason out of the four main leagues, and thankfully, the CFL starts just as the NBA and NHL are about to crown their champions. Sports fans can't live on baseball alone.

Stanley Cup Final Game Two: Good Vibes
In Game One of this year's Stanley Cup Final, the Florida Panthers dominated the Edmonton Oilers with a 3-0 shutout win at home. For the first time in the team's 31-year history, the Panthers had a lead in the Cup Final. So what would they do for an encore in Game Two?

Finals Game Two: Backs Against the Wall
After a dominate Western Conference Finals upset, the Dallas Mavericks fell totally flat in Game One of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. The winner of Game One wins the Finals close to 70% of the time, but even so, a series isn't decided in the first game. Boston drew first blood in the Finals, but the Dallas Mavericks entered Game Two in Beantown looking to strike back.

The Looney "Tortoise and Hare" Trilogy
In sports, there have been quite a few rivalries, and quite a few of them have been mostly one sided. The Green Bay Packers have owned the Chicago Bears in the last 20 years. The New York Yankees have owned the Boston Red Sox for much, much longer than that. The Denver Nuggets have been living rent free in the heads of the Los Angeles Lakers in the last two years, and of course, the Boston Bruins always seem to have the Toronto Maple Leafs' number when it counts the most.

Stanley Cup Final Game One: What About Bob?
Behold, the Stanley Cup Final has arrived! It's been six days since the last time the puck dropped, and that was in Edmonton for Game Six of the Western Conference Final. The Edmonton Oilers have had five off days to drink in the fact that they were in the Cup Final for the first time in 18 years, while the Florida Panthers had six off days to bask in the glory of being in the Final for the second straight year. This is the fifth straight Final to feature two teams who had never met in such a setting before, and regarding the stakes, the Panthers have another chance to win their first Stanley Cup, while the Edmonton Oilers are looking to win their sixth Stanley Cup, their first since 1990, and Canada's first since 1993.

Finals Game One: Boston Baked Blowout
The NBA Finals is here, folks! I do love the NBA Finals, because similar to the NHL's Stanley Cup Final, it's the finale of an amazing journey that includes 16 teams--well, technically 20 if you count the play-in games. One thing I'm trying to get used to is the fact that the NBA Finals actually starts before the Cup Final; it had been the other way around for a long time. Nevertheless, the NBA Finals is here, and this year, it's the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks battling for the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

The Rookie: Blair London's Not-So-Surprising Heel Turn
Last night was a perfect sports night for me; those are rare, but it happened. First off, the New York Yankees obliterated the Houston Astros on national TV. Then, later in the evening, the Colorado Avalanche won Game One of the Central Division Final over the Dallas Stars in comeback fashion, trailing 3-0 and winning 4-3 in overtime! So I was already in happiness overload, but I figured there would be more to come even after all of that.

Villainess Review: Dr. Vanessa Holmes (Elsbeth)
I remember learning some time ago about a spinoff series to the long-running CBS series, The Good Wife, coming out, and it was at the end of 2023 that I first saw promos for said spinoff: Elsbeth. The series is actually the second spinoff of The Good Wife, with the first being The Good Fight, and regarding this one, it centers on Carrie Preston's character, Elsbeth Tascioni, the Chicago-based defense attorney who now works alongside the NYPD as a defacto detective. The series premiered on Leap Day 2024, and I remember that the promo for the premiere episode revealed that it was a True Blood reunion, as the episode guest starred Stephen Moyer (both Moyer and Preston played on the hit HBO series).

The Story is Complete
You always remember your first, and this one is simply unforgettable. It can be said that this was nearly two years in the making, ever since Cody Rhodes returned to WWE. It can also be said that this was at least a decade and a half in the making, ever since Cody's WWE career began. I think Cody Rhodes himself would have said that this dream started long before he was even born.

So...How Will the Edmonton Oilers Blow it THIS TIME?!
OK, Oilers, you made it to the playoffs. So how will you fuck it up this time? I want to explain something about myself as a hockey fan. I don't hate the Edmonton Oilers. I'm a fan of Connor McDavid. However, I absolutely despise Oilers fans.

Avalanche Game 77 Recap: Respect Gorgeous George
We need to show Alexandar Georgiev more respect. The man's leading the league in wins...for the second straight year. He was an All-Star this season. So can we please stop pretending that Georgiev's the problem when he's actually been bailing us out?
