Avalanche Game 26 Recap: Momentum Shift
The Colorado Avalanche's five-game homestand got off to a thrilling start, winning 3-2 over the Anaheim Ducks to finish the season series. One down, four to go, and the next team to enter Ball Arena was the Winnipeg Jets--the first meeting of the season between the division foes. As an Avs fan, I have been focused on the Dallas Stars, but I have not forgotten about the Jets, as they are in the thick of this Central Division race as well. The Jets are coming off a playoff appearance in the previous year; their fifth in their last six years, and their seventh since moving to Winnipeg from Atlanta (where they played for 11 seasons as the Atlanta Thrashers).

What a Mother Wouldn't Do: Reviewing Shayna Wayne's Heel Turn
Seriously, if you didn't see this coming, then I don't know what to tell you. Two months have passed since Nick Wayne turned heel on Darby Allin at WrestleDream, doing so in favor of joining Christian Cage and the then-named Luchasaurus, now known as Killswitch. Prior to this, a few of Nick's battles against his now-allies have included the presence of his mother, Shayna Wayne, in the crowd cheering on her son. However, when Nick joined the dark side, the woman known as "Mama Wayne" to AEW fans was shocked at what her son had become.

Movin' On Up! (Week 14)
Week 13 was quite chaotic; so many changes to the playoff picture in the National Football League, with many teams climbing the ranks. Five weeks remain in the season, and while it seems like very little time, it's still plenty of time for teams looking to make an impact. While the last six weeks of the season serve as the home stretch, panic time doesn't really start until Christmas hits, and that's still a few weeks away.

5 Face Turns and 5 Heel Turns That Need to Happen in Women's Wrestling in 2024
2024 is upon us, and when a new year closes in, it turns the wheels in the heads of many wrestling fans, myself especially. The New Year predictions usually come in the following categories: new champions, pushes, main roster callups (WWE), the dreaded releases, and the subject of this story, turns. Who's turning face? Who's turning heel? Who needs either change more? So many fans rack their brains figuring out which hero will turn to the dark side, or which villain will see the light. And yes, I'm one of those many fans concocting such predictions, especially in women's wrestling.

Reviewing a Hat Trick of Villainesses from "Creepshow" Episode 4.03
I have never seen the original Creepshow film, but I'm definitely familiar with the film. This whole phenomenon all started back in 1982 with the anthology film, and we have horror masters George A. Romero and Stephen King to thank for this. The movie spawned two sequels, with the second film coming out in 1987, while the third was released in 2007, 20 years after the second film. It also spawned a spinoff series that we're all familiar with: Tales from the Darkside.

Avalanche Game 21 Recap: Just Like 2022
The Colorado Avalanche's winning tear continued with a home win over the Calgary Flames, and the brief two-game homestand continues with a meeting against a team who is very close to them: the Tampa Bay Lightning. This will always be special to us Avs fans; as we all know, the Avalanche defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games to win the Stanley Cup in 2022. Since then, however, the Bolts have won the last two meetings from last season, while the names have definitely changed from both sides since that iconic Cup Final took place.

NFL Week 12 Recap: Overtime...Why Did It Have to Be Overtime?
For the recap of the Thanksgiving and Black Friday games that kicked off Week 12, click here. We all love overtime, don't we? Overtime means more of the game we love. This season is actually a milestone: it's the 50th season of overtime in the NFL. It was beginning in the 1974 season that the overtime period was finally introduced to regular season games; before that year, overtime only took place in the playoffs. It was purely sudden death until 2010, which was the year that playoff games received the OT rules that exist even now. Those rules would be instilled into regular season games in 2012, and it was in 2022 that the OT rules were changed again for playoff games. In any event, the overtime period in the NFL is amazing, and so many football fans love it.

Avalanche Game 20 Recap: When You're Hot, You're Hot
From what we've seen in the last few games, the Colorado Avalanche that we know and we're used to? That team is back. The Avs picked up a huge Black Friday victory over the Minnesota Wild, but it's right back to work a day later. This time, the Avalanche returned home to face off against the Calgary Flames for the first time all season. With this, the Avs have one Pacific team they have yet to face this year: the Edmonton Oilers. Colorado entered this meeting with a 6-2 record against Pacific opponents.

Survivor Series 2023 Recap: He's Back...AGAIN
Well...CM Punk is back for the umpteenth time. Oh boy. Let's get this out of the way, shall we? So the main event was the men's WarGames bout: Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, "Main Event" Jey Uso, and Randy Orton against the Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre. It looked like the babyface side would be shorthanded, as it was teased that Orton hadn't arrived and wouldn't do so. The Judgment Day and McIntyre appeared to have that permanent 5-on-4 power play well in hand. It even looked like we'd see a Money In The Bank cash-in during WarGames!

NFL Thanksgiving & Black Friday Recap: All You Need is Love
Week 12 is not over, but despite this, I decided to split the recap into two parts, with this story centering on the Thanksgiving games, as well as the NFL's first-ever Black Friday game. One reason is that it'll be easier to cover each portion of the week, as everyone played this week, though because of the holidays, only 12 games are played on Sunday and Monday. Another reason is because I wanted to put a special spotlight on the four games, especially the Black Friday game.

Avalanche Game 19 Recap: Top of the Mountain
The Colorado Avalanche have been on a bit of a winning tear as of late, with the latest show being a 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday. After enjoying Thanksgiving and all that came with it, the Avs got back to work on Black Friday, this time against the Minnesota Wild. Oh boy. We Avs fans are mighty sick of the Minnesota Wild. Here's a fun fact. This rivalry is the longest running division rivalry in the overall history of the Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche. Even the old provincial rivalry between the Nordiques and Canadiens in the Adams Division wasn't as long as this one; they were division foes from 1981-1995. The Avs and the Wild have been division rivals since 2000--over 20 years. Whether it's the old Northwest Division, the current Central Division, or even that shortened season in the localized West Division, these two teams just can't get away from each other.

Should Beth Phoenix Turn Heel One More Time?
What can I say about Beth Phoenix that I haven't said already in a few stories on here? I'm a huge fan of Beth and have been for so long. She is just amazing as hell; I love her abilities, her look, and the way she carries herself during her bouts. Beth's induction into WWE's Hall of Fame in 2017 was definitely well deserved, and recent years have seen Beth make various appearances on screen, which have included competing in the Women's Rumble, doing commentary on NXT, and especially working alongside her Hall of Fame husband, Adam "Edge" Copeland.
