Melina Perez's 5 Best Evil Moments
Today is the birthday of my all time favorite icon in the world of women's wrestling: Melina Perez. I've mentioned my Melina fandom on Vocal a few times, including writing about actually meeting her via a virtual meet and greet (I'm still surprised that I wasn't nervous through the whole thing). I love so many things about Melina, but of course, the thing I love the most is her immense ability to portray a villainess on-screen.

Women Know Hockey, Stop Pretending They Don't. Top Story - March 2024.
Gather 'round, readers! Today is International Women's Day, and I have a story to tell. In 2014, I watched and followed the hockey games from that year's Winter Olympics. I watched the US men's team reach the semifinals of the tournament, which are the medal rounds. We faced Canada. We lost to Canada, because of course we do. So we had to play for Bronze. We faced off against Finland. Finland beat us like we stole something. A 6-0 loss in the Bronze Medal Game, while Canada defeated Sweden to get the Gold.

Avalanche Game 65 Recap: New Team, Who Dis?
The trade deadline has come and gone, and it was a fruitful one for the Colorado Avalanche. Moments before the 7-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings, the Avs traded for Casey Mittelstadt and Sean Walker. A day later, the Avs traded for two more players; first off, the Avs acquired Brandon Duhaime from the Minnesota Wild, and also traded for Yakov Trenin, formerly of the Nashville Predators. Also, the Avalanche dealt Ben Meyers to the Anaheim Ducks for a draft pick.

Avalanche Game 62 Recap: Bad Timing
The month of March is here; the final full month of the NHL's regular season. For many teams, it's do or die, and regarding the Colorado Avalanche, a playoff spot is inevitable. What isn't inevitable is where the team will finish. The Avs are coming off ending February on a winning note after starting the month on a terrible skid, and the team's own March Madness started in Nashville against a red hot Predators team.

An Undying Desire
"I was out by my lonesome, and I suddenly heard what sounded like footsteps. Even right before then, I had this feeling that someone was watching me--following me. I didn't even call out whoever it was; it was moving so fast. Finally, I felt something or...someone grab me from behind. Honestly, I didn't know whether to be scared or...aroused."

Avalanche Game 61 Recap: Century 29
Leap Day. February 29. A special day that happens every four years, and on this Leap Day, the Colorado Avalanche are one of many NHL teams in action. In Game 61 of the Avs' season, the team is in the Windy City facing off against the Chicago Blackhawks; the third meeting of the season and the Avs' last visit to Chicago. The Avalanche are coming off a huge victory over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, and while February 29 is a special occurrence, it simply means it's the final day before the NHL's March Madness starts.

Holla, Holla, Holla! A Look Back at Theodore Long's GM Tenure
I've said many times that I'm grateful to WWE for filling that void left by the NHL lockout in 2004-2005. Fortunately, a lot of wild stuff was happening on WWE television at that time. The tail end of 2004 saw the World Heavyweight Championship picture become quite interesting on Raw, while SmackDown had a lot of interesting developments going on that brand. Among them was the hiring of a new General Manager: Theodore Long.

Avalanche Game 60 Recap: Dancing With the Dallas Stars
The month of February is almost over. We are on our way to that final home stretch, with barely over 50 days left in the regular season. All 32 teams have something to play for, whether it's the playoffs, or the draft. For the Colorado Avalanche, it's important seeding in the Central Division. It's been rough for the boys in burgundy, blue, and white for the last few weeks, but the Avs are still above ground where it counts, and still have a shot at finishing first in the Central Division for the third straight year.

Villainess Review: Angela Wright (My Husband's Baby)
For the last two and a half years, Tubi has really served up some delicious Lifetime-esque thrillers, with some deliciously fiendish and malevolent villainesses--some of whom I've mentioned on Vocal. So what does Tubi have in store for us in 2024? Well, if this film, My Husband's Baby, is any indication, I think this year may top last year when it comes to the wicked women of Tubi.

What Else Will We See From WWE's Women's Division at WrestleMania 40?
Amazing. This year will celebrate 40 years of WrestleMania. The Grandest Stage of Them All; the WWE's equivalent of the Super Bowl and the Stanley Cup. This year is a milestone. Four decades. To think, an event that took place on March 31, 1985 at Madison Square Garden would evolve and become the biggest stage in all of professional wrestling. Just absolutely epic.
