Rangers Become 1st Team to Clinch Spot in the 2024 Playoffs
One down, 15 to go. I always love seeing that first playoff spot clinched in any league, but it's always the most special in the National Hockey League. The first official clinching scenario belonged to the Vancouver Canucks on the previous night, but they couldn't get it done. On this day, four Eastern Conference teams had chances to clinch: the New York Rangers, the Boston Bruins, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Florida Panthers. The Panthers and Bruins faced each other, with Boston winning, 4-3, in regulation. As a result, Florida couldn't clinch yet. The Red Wings/Capitals game was connected to all of the scenarios, but because that game went to OT, Boston couldn't clinch yet. The Canes lost, so they would have to wait, too.

Avalanche Game 71 Recap: No Surrender
I...love...this...team!!! We did it again, folks! Actually, I should say, we did it yet again! The Colorado Avalanche entered this Sunday matinee game on TNT on an eight game winning streak, and on top of the Central Division. The homestand entered Game #2 and it was against the Pittsburgh Penguins. It's always interesting when Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon get together, and regarding this game, as Cody Rhodes would say, they have a lot to talk about.

Avalanche Game 70 Recap: Elite 8
The Colorado Avalanche have reached the playoffs for six straight years, and a seventh is very inevitable. The Avs are on a big time roll--winning seven straight games, including sweeping a four game road trip in Western Canada and St. Louis. Following this stretch, the Avs returned to home sweet home--Ball Arena--and our opponents: the Columbus Blue Jackets. This is the first of two meetings against Columbus, and the first time the two teams are facing off on American soil since the 2021-22 season.

Aaron Rodgers: It's Always Something
You know, I have to say this. I have to. Because if I don't, I'll explode. You know the real reason why I didn't waste time embracing Jordan Love as the Green Bay Packers' new starting QB? There were other reasons, yes--curiosity, a new chapter, and the fact that Love was the first-ever Black starting QB in the Packers' long history. But you want to know the real reason? Because I, like a number of Packers fans, was just sick of the drama. I really was.

Avalanche Game 69 Recap: The Moose is Loose
Well, at least I got the title right this time. Game 68 (not Game 67 as I erroneously called it) saw the Colorado Avalanche win over the Edmonton Oilers in the literal final second of overtime. The Avs are back on American soil, but are still outside the confines of Ball Arena. We are again playing against a team we beat in the 2022 playoffs: the St. Louis Blues. The Blues have been on a bit of a decent roll, but the Avs' roll is just that much bigger.

Reviewing a Pair of Villainesses from "I Know Where Lizzie Is"
I want to tell you a story, and I swear there's a point to this. I'm a big fan of the Canadian Football League because of the wild rules making the game quite nail-biting when it can be. However, there's another reason why I love the CFL: it's because, at times, I just happen to enjoy a good game, while also enjoying a villainess (or two) run wild on Lifetime. This leads to the subject of this review. While I was watching the Toronto Argonauts and the Ottawa Redblacks battle it out, I was also watching this amazing movie, I Know Where Lizzie Is.

Avalanche Game 68 Recap: Oops, He Did It Again!
My birthday is on March 18, but for the first time in four years, the Colorado Avalanche do not play on that day. With this game landing just two days before that date, this serves as an early birthday game for yours truly, and our opponents: none other than the Edmonton Oilers. Let me say this. I've scoffed at a lot of things regarding the Avalanche's schedule. Our first three games being on the road, that's fine. Even the fact that we've played more games than a lot of other temas in the league is no biggie. However, the fact that I had to wait until Game 68 to see us finally face the Oilers? I'm sorry, I just can't forgive that.

Reviewing "Doogie Howser, M.D."
I had been familiar with the series, Doogie Howser, M.D., for nearly all of my life, but with the exception of some peeks at a few minutes of some episodes (usually the ending), I had never really watched the series. That is, until about a few weeks ago. Disney+ had the series, and I binge-watched it on the platform. I knew I liked this show in spite of what little I watched prior to the bings, but I do leave this binge very fascinated with the show as a whole.

Villainess Review: Valerie Daniels (Blue Bloods)
What can I say? Blue Bloods has such an amazing crop of villainesses. I can't really list what shows have the best batch of one-shot evil women, because I'd take forever compiling a top 10 list of shows that have the best ones. I will say this: three shows that I think have some of the best batches of villainesses have to be Castle, Republic of Doyle, and Blue Bloods. Right now, Blue Bloods is in the early stages of their final season, and as the series comes close to ending, I just can't help but think back to the amazing villainesses who appeared on the show, including this one from the episode, "Secret Arrangements."

Avalanche Game 67 Recap: Lonely at the Top
We had the Vancouver Canucks right where we wanted them! The Colorado Avalanche were coming off a big blowout win over the Calgary Flames to start this four-game road trip, but we could be right back to work, as that was the first game of a back-to-back set. The Avs headed west to face the Vancouver Canucks for the final time this regular season. The Canucks are the #1 team in the entire Western Conference, but the Avs are batting 1.000 against the Nucks this season, having won both meetings. This meeting is the only one in Vancouver, though this could be a playoff preview.

The CEO: Reviewing Mercedes Moné's AEW Debut
At long last, after so much anticipation, she has arrived! AEW's "Big Business" special episode of Dynamite kicked off with the long awaited and long overdue debut of Mercedes Moné, the former Sasha Banks. This has been teased for at least the moment after she was shown at All Out last year, but to those who have really followed and supported Mercedes, this has been teased ever since WWE's bullshit ran her out yet again.

Avalanche Game 66 Recap: Welcome to the Club
The Colorado Avalanche's first game after a very fruitful trade deadline was an overtime victory over the Minnesota Wild, the team's third straight win. The club's groove appears to be back, with the winning tear starting in the second half of February. The Avs are back on the road for the next four games, with the first three games taking place in Western Canada. Avs fans are hoping that this road trip fares better than our last one, and the first leg of this four game swing takes place in Hart Country: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
