CFL Week 2 Recap: Alouettes Kick Off Season, Stamps & TiCats Stumble
The 2021 CFL season is an abbreviated one; 14 games in 16 weeks. As if wins aren't important enough in any football season, they are extra important with only 14 games played. Week 1 saw big victories for the Toronto Argonauts and the Ottawa Redblacks, as well as the defending champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers make a statement. So what would Week 2 bring?

Villainess Review: Patrice Gesner (Monk)
There are a number of reasons why I loved this episode of Monk, simply titled, "Mr. Monk and the Bully," but I'll get to them later. So the episode has Adrian Monk on the call regarding Roderick Brody, who used to bully him in middle school. Because of this, Monk initially refuses, but agrees to do so under the insistence of Dr. Bell and (especially) Natalie Teeger, who mentioned that Roderick was their first paying customer in weeks. After meeting Roderick's wife, Marilyn, Monk and Natalie get to the reason for their services: Roderick suspects that Marilyn is cheating on him.

Villainess Review: Diana Lassiter (Ghost Whisperer)
Very recently, many were stunned with the heartbreaking news of the passing of actress Markie Post at the age of 70. Post is best remembered for being part of the cast of the hit NBC series, Night Court, playing defense lawyer Christine Sullivan for the show's remaining six seasons. The character served as the object of affection for Harold T. Stone (played by the late Harry Anderson), though Dan Fielding (John Larroquette) had his eyes on her as well. Post also co-starred with John Ritter on the CBS series, Hearts Afire, and had many TV and film credits to her name, which included appearing in 18 episodes of NBC's Chicago P.D. as Erin Lindsay's mother, Barbara "Bunny" Fletcher. Markie Post's passing comes less than a month after the death of her Night Court co-star, Charles Robinson, who played Mac for all nine seasons and actually appeared with Post and Anderson in a mini-reunion on an episode of 30 Rock.

Villainess Review: Maeve (iCarly)
I just want to say, I really love Paramount+'s iCarly reboot! This is coming from someone who never religiously watched the original series, but I have seen enough episodes from the original run to know how amazing that show was. So when I learned about a reboot coming to Paramount+ (formerly known as CBS All Access), I was all in. It was amazing to see a vast majority of the original cast back, though the main difference is that the reboot features Laci Mosley as Harper Raines, who serves as Carly's roommate and best friend, filling the void left by the absence of Jennette McCurdy as Sam Puckett.

The AFC South is Tennessee's to Lose
During the middle of the 2019 season, the Tennessee Titans benched Marcus Mariota and decided to start former Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill. To say it worked like a charm would be an understatement. The team finished 9-7 and snagged the last playoff spot in the American Football Conference, but their playoff run saw them eliminate the New England Patriots in what would be Tom Brady's final game as a Patriot, and they also took down the 14-2 top-seeded Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Playoff. They were defeated soundly by the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, but even so, the Titans exceeded expectations.

The AFC North: Three Playoff Contenders and Cincinnati
The AFC North has become a very interesting division. The Cleveland Browns being good again will do that. The 2021 NFL season will be the 20th in this current eight-division format, and for most of the AFC North's existence, it has been the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens usually battling for division supremacy, while the two Ohio-based teams compete for draft picks--though the Cincinnati Bengals did have their moments. Now, with the Browns' amazing 2020 season, that has changed.

Sinister Stepmother (Part 2)
Click here for Part 1 A flurry of thoughts entered the mind of Samantha "Sam" Benson as she drove home. She had lost her mother, Jessica Benson, a year prior, and her father, Darren Benson, is in a relationship with Delia Shaw, who was the woman behind an attempted robbery of a bank that Sam and Jessica attended that very day. Sam's suspicions went dismissed by Darren, but she would later find herself on the receiving end of not one, but two attempts on her life--the second one committed by Sam's own grief counselor, Dr. Allison Lee.

Sinister Stepmother (Part 1)
It started out as a typical day for Samantha "Sam" Benson and her mother, Jessica Benson, as they were at their local bank making a deposit--the amount being Sam's latest paycheck. At that moment, Sam and Jessica found themselves in terrible danger, as a quartet of masked robbers infiltrated the bank, with the leader, an Australian accented female, demanding all of the money from the bank's vault. She even stared down several of the customers, though she singled out Jessica and threatened her at gunpoint, even going as far as teasing and hurling threats to Sam as well.

CFL Week 1 Recap: We Missed You
November 24, 2019. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats by a score of 33-12 to win their 11th Grey Cup in franchise history, and their first since 1990. It was a dream season for the Bombers, and that team was set on defending their championship in 2020. Unfortunately, that year saw the COVID-19 pandemic impact the entire world greatly, and that included sports. While MLB, the NBA, and the NHL simply paused/postponed their seasons and playoffs, the CFL ended up cancelling their entire 2020 season, as Canada was (and still is) very strict regarding their protocols.

Huge Knockouts Championship Match Set for NWA EmPowerrr
The August 5, 2021 edition of Impact Wrestling was the first one coming off their Homecoming event, which featured a mixed tag team tournament that ended with the debuting Matthew Rehwoldt (the former Aiden English in WWE) and Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo winning and being crowned King and Queen. For Deonna, it's yet another accolade added to her impressive Impact Wrestling résumé, which is barely over a year long! So on Impact, Matt and Deonna celebrated their success, when out came Mickie James, a familiar sight as of late.

Villainess Review: Marissa (Deadly Mom Retreat)
I learned about this movie from Marvista's website, and upon seeing the who's who of stars in this, I was just eagerly waiting for Lifetime to snag it. That day finally came: August 5, 2021, and I tuned in with bated breath! So this film centers on Jules, who is mulling over whether or not to end her marriage to Tom, which resulted in the birth of their daughter, Rosalie. It seems like she's willing to stay with Tom--until she finds out that Tom had been seeing his former flame, Claire. Even with that, Jules is still at a crossroads, and she believes that a retreat could provide a welcome distraction.
