 common problems we have all faced as females we have encountered in one way or another when we enter the phase of womanhood.

Women can go through menopause early, too. Some of my friends went through it before they reached twenty years old.

Here is another fact that the nation doesn't seem to understand:

Contrary to popular belief, women can have periods for the rest of their lives, and they can have babies naturally, though it's rare.

A friend of mine turned 60 this year, and she is still having periods. She is also still able to have babies. She thought that there was something wrong with her.

I'm 48 years old and still having regular periods. I also suffer from 

I have suffered from this painful condition all of my life.

My doctor tells me I'm still having regular periods, and I am still fertile. 

I am healthy enough to have a baby in my doctor's eyes, yet when I bring my problems up, it's treated as if it is taboo!

If a woman is having regular periods and has not yet entered menopause, then she should be allowed the freedom to talk about her periods no matter what age she is.

Younger women can have the same problems. They can also have complications in pregnancy, but it's not taboo for a doctor to discuss that with them.

It seems that when we age, everybody's first thoughts go to 'menopause,' with little consideration for other problems.

It's not as black and white as biologists think and isn't clear-cut.

Not all women will be 40 or 50 years old and hit menopause. A person could be 20 years old and hit it then, too.

We need to acknowledge that the theory of biology is not the same for every woman, and every woman who is still having periods should be allowed to have them looked at.

It would be more helpful if doctors were more open-minded and more caring when talking to older women about their periods or pregnancy. A little compassion and understanding go a long way, and instead of scaremongering us over things we already know, why not keep in mind that 

some older women do go on to have healthy babies?

Help older women who are having problems such as those mentioned above. There is no need to make us feel small just because we are older. That goes for other people, too.

You don't need to criticise us. We understand our issues more than you think, and I always believe that age makes us wiser, so if we decide to have a baby, that is our choice.

Older women who are still fertile and have periods deserve recognition.

They deserve the same recognition as any young woman.
