I grew up in the Midwest with fireflies in the summer, and I was shocked when I realized they’re not in the Western part of America. Bullfrogs and cattails, this brought me back to childhood and my Nana’s farm.
This created such a beautiful scenery in my mind! Loved your poem!
Great poem. Can't say I'd trade New England for that though, humidity included lol
Frickin’ awesome imagery here, Ashley!! Thoroughly enjoyed each line. 👏🙂
Cool summer beats. Great summer vibes.
First time hearing the song! Fun poem and great summer vibes.
Oh I love that song and your poem! Such vivid images and a thick nostalgia to match. You've inspired me to write for the first prompt, despite missing the deadline…
