I couldn’t sleep; I kept tossing and turning, thinking about tomorrow. Since Friday night, I have been wondering what will happen tomorrow. I wanted to text Jeff and talk to him about it, but I didn’t know what to say.

How do I try to take that image out of his head? A young man like him seeing old lady tits? I threw away the dress as I didn’t want it ever to happen again.

I was no prude by any means. I had been to Mardi Gras many times when I was in college and flashed my tits for the whole street to see, and I was sure I had a huge collection of pearls in the attic.

“Laura,” I told myself. “Calm down, it’s nothing. If he leaves or doesn’t show up, you will manage.”

I took a deep breath and went about my normal Sunday routine.

I put my key in the door and breathed a sigh of relief. Jeff was the only other person with the key, and it was unlocked.

I walked inside and heard the familiar sound of classic rock music, which meant Jeff was doing inventory. He liked listening to heavier rock music, but for me, he changed it to the classics.

“Hi,” I said as I slowly entered the backroom.

“Hi,” Jeff answered as he got off the floor where he had been sitting and counting books.

“No need to get up,” I stepped inside.

I don’t know why I felt awkward; this was my store.

“Laura,” Jeff started the conversation.

“I’m sorry!” we both apologized at the same time.

We laughed. “Why do you have to be sorry?” I asked.

“I didn’t mean to look or take advantage of you in that state,” Jeff stood before me. He looked like he was about to run out of the room.

“Take advantage? Of me?” I scoffed as we stood there, just staring at each other. “Jeff, I was the drunk one, if anything I took advantage of you. Coming to get some old ladies thinking they were still in their twenties!”

“It was quite fun actually,” Jeff smiled. “Looked like you guys had a great time!”

“You were a big hit with my friends,” I told him. “The others kept calling me and asking about you.”

I had never seen a black guy blush before, and it made me smile. I was glad things were okay between us, and I hadn’t scared the poor guy away.

Our delivery truck came, and we got to work.

Just after lunch, there were hardly any customers and things to do; it was usually like this some days.

“Have you heard from your ex?” I asked as we sat behind the counter.

“No, and I don’t think I will,” Jeff replied. “She’s got someone else.”

“Not surprising,” I answered a bit too quickly. “Sorry, that’s not on you, she just seemed the type.”

“Oh, she hates being alone,” Jeff shook his head. “I should have known.”

He showed me a picture of Caroline with another black guy. “She does have a type, at least.” The picture was on one of her social pages.

The picture centered on her cleavage, as usual. I browsed some of the comments and then gave the phone back.

“Not impressed, huh?” Jeff asked as he saw my face.

“Not at all,” I answered. “She’s in it for the attention and the high she gets from the comments.”

“Absolutely!” Jeff exclaimed as he put his phone away. “Not once did she tell anyone that commented on her pictures that she had a boyfriend.”

“She’s doing the same with him, if that helps,” I patted him on the shoulder. “The whole I can’t hide them line, is what kills me.”

“Oh, she used that on me too,” Jeff nodded. “In fact she has the biggest I have seen in person.”

“Up until Friday night,” I corrected him.

“Yes, I didn’t want to bring that up,” Jeff blushed again.

“Oh, it’s fine,” I admitted. “My boobs fell out and you got a look, it’s okay with me. I was more worried about what you would think about old lady knockers.”

“They are very big!” Jeff exclaimed. “I knew they were big, but….” He trailed off. I was sure he was trying to be polite.

“Enormous?” I finished his sentence. “Well when I sit they do nearly touch my lap. Gravity took them a long time ago.”

“I didn’t think they could get that big, Caroline always said…”

“Don’t listen to what Caroline said, she knows nothing!”

I once told Caroline that she could hide them if she wanted because my granddaughter has bigger ones at the age of seventeen and can hide them very well. Caroline didn’t like that.

I could see he was trying to look at my chest. I had worn a turtle neck today to keep them under wraps, just in case things were awkward.

“So, you still haven’t said,” I smiled.

It felt good to be checked out by a young, handsome man like Jeff.

“Oh, I did,” Jeff quickly replied with a laugh. “Very much!”

I was shocked as he was smiling and turned a deep shade.
