From the start, there was no stopping us. I don’t even know what it was — it wasn’t just liking her, it was like something pulled me to her and wouldn’t let go. She felt the same way. We both had other people, and we both knew it was wrong, but every night she still showed up. And when people started catching on, she moved two hours away just to make it look like we were done. But that didn’t stop me. I was driving back and forth every night and every morning, working all day, still using, thinking I could keep all the pieces from falling apart.
