Local residents said the flood had washed away the railway foundation, leaving only tracks and sleepers in the air, like a cable bridge.
Under the influence of continuous rainfall and water coming from the upper reaches of the Wuma River in Qingxu County and Qixian County, Shanxi Province, many levees broke yesterday, many facility agriculture was flooded, water came into Xiaowu Village, Qingxu County, and eight villages were organized to move people overnight. On the morning of the 5th, due to days of heavy rainfall and flood discharge from upstream reservoirs, the Wuma River channel was flooded, and the dam built by the Wuma River at a flow rate of 20 cubic meters per second was impacted.
Since the afternoon of the 5th, the water volume of the Wuma River has increased rapidly, from more than 40 cubic meters per second to more than 100 cubic meters per second, and the flood began to flood the river bank.
In response to this dangerous situation, the Taiyuan Municipal Party Committee and the Qingxu County Party Committee and County Government organized fire protection, armed police, public security, Shanxi Water Group Construction Investment Company, nearby villagers, and other forces to strengthen the dyke.

About 15000 people in eight villages, including Xiaowu Village and Mengfeng Village, were evacuated to safety overnight.
Due to continuous rainfall, at about 23:00 on the 5th, a landslide occurred in Jingpo Village, Pu County, Linfen County, Shanxi Province, resulting in five people being buried.
After overnight rescue, all the trapped people were rescued, of which four were killed and one injured.
It is understood that the victims were mainly traffic police on duty.
On the 5th, torrential rain intensified waterlogging in the coal machinery community in Xiaodian District, Taiyuan City, with the deepest water exceeding 1 meter, affecting nearly 200 households in three residential buildings.
Local rescue forces were organized to move people to safety overnight.
According to CCTV news, the reporter learned from China Railway Taiyuan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. on the 6th that nine trains have been suspended and three delayed due to continuous rainfall.
