Samsung vs. iPhone: Which One you Should Buy?

Which Phone you Should Buy?

By Travis RyanPublished 4 years ago β€’ 7 min read

Samsung and Apple introduced new products at two virtual events last year. Apple presented its iPhone 13 Pro and Max with the smoothest-running laptop with Samsung's Galaxy Flip 3 and Fold 3.

Flip3 and Fold3

The Fold opens like a book, and the Flip like a tiny mirror. The two phones combine a tiny tablet with a pocketable phone. The devices are tough and scratch-resistant. The aluminum frame and hinge provide 10% more protection and are lighter in weight. Both phones' strong hinges prevent one-handed opening. While the phone is water resistant, it does not have any certified dust protection grade, so users must be cautious with hinge dust. The hinge opens and closes the phone without breaking or grinding. A tech critic said the phone wasn't for everyone and cost the same as a basic Samsung. Once the novelty wears off, a folding phone might seem commonplace.

Classic/Samsung Galaxy Watch4

Samsung powered these watches with a 5-nanometer CPU and Google's OS. high-resolution displays, 16GB of storage, 40 hours of battery life, and wireless charging. The device's sensor measures sleep and blood oxygen. It's a great boost over Samsung's Active range. The Wired review said the watches weren't "quite" the Apple watch replacement, but they were getting close, especially with apps that are available in iWatches but not in Samsung ones. The gadgets weren't iOS-compatible, and ECG only works on Samsung phones. Smaller phones have poor battery life and limited app support. Samsung's mechanical bezel and stainless steel add $100 to the cost of these watches. The watch designs resemble their Tizen predecessors.

Galaxy Buds

These buds are 15% smaller and 20% lighter than the Buds Plus, featuring active noise-cancellation and a superior dual-driver array. Like airpods, they have a 5-hour battery life and a Qi charging cover. These are Samsung's least costly wireless earbuds, so they lack functions like auto-pause when one is removed. The Verge gave it an 8.5 because of the subpar ambient sound option, insufficient water resistance, and no auto-pause when removing earphones. The earbuds are compact, unobtrusive, offer outstanding audio, and charge wirelessly.

S21

The S21 Ultra sports a strong CPU, an improved camera over previous versions, a longer battery life, and effective and wireless charging options. The phone sports a lower-spec screen than 2020's S20, with a full HD+ 6.2-inch display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and great colour and brightness. Techradar says there's not enough difference between the S20 and the latest model to warrant an upgrade. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the year's finest gadget, yet the S21 costs less. The S21 Ultra's cameras, specifications, and S Pen are superior. The phone's laser-equipped cameras address the S20 Ultra's auto-repair problem. The phone's camera has a 30x and 100x zoom. Tech Radar calls it Samsung's best-looking phone ever, despite its high price. As the firm explains, the phone lacks a microSD card port and a charger.

13-inch iPhone Mini

The new iPhone 13 received CNET's Editor's Choice Award for its upgraded cameras, battery, storage, and screen. Ceramic shielding protects phones from dust and water, even after 30 minutes in 6 metres of water. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are heavier because of their larger batteries, which may last a day on a single charge. The diagonally oriented cameras are better and larger. The iPhone 13's primary camera has the same pixel count as the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The front camera is okay but not fantastic. The phone's cinematic mode provides wonderful results, but it's not a professional tool. The iPhone 13's A15 Bionic processor runs games, movies, picture editing, FaceTime, and AR applications.

13 Pro/Pro Max iPhone

The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have a high-refresh-rate display. Both phones have the same camera; size, battery life, and pricing vary. The phones boast a strong body, ProMotion display, and 3x optical telephoto, but they're hefty, lack an on-off toggle for macro shooting, and the movie mode is a gimmick. The iPhone 12 series' notch is 20% smaller and squared. The photos from these phones were brighter and had quicker shutter speeds, and the new macro mode automatically turns on when the phone is a few centimetres from the subject. The iPhone 13 and 13 mini's A15 Bionic CPU includes 5 GPU cores instead of 4. The iPhone 13 Pro's battery lasts a day, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max's lasts two.

iWatch7

The Series 6 iWatch sports a bigger screen, a QWERTY keyboard, new colour choices, increased durability, and quicker charging. Battery life and sleep monitoring haven't improved. dust-resistant aluminium housing, 33% faster charging than Series 6.timer, alarm, and calculator buttons make entering your passcode easier. Users may alter the text size for enhanced graphics, adding additional lines presenting news, video, or alerts. For long sentences, it's better to use your phone than your watch. The Modular Duo face has two large-format complications, while the Contour face includes numerals that flow over the sides. The new series includes a brighter always-on mode, even while idle. Even though Series 6 charging is quicker, battery life hasn't increased.

Mini-iPad

This iPad is compact enough for convenient usage, with a larger screen, USB-C, and a fresh design from prior generations. The iPad Mini lacks multiuser capability, a headphone jack, and a properly resized iPad OS. The A15 Bionic chip adds 5G but not mmWave. The Verge found the screen quality to be worse than previous iPad Pro models, with jelly-like scrolling in portrait mode. Screen brightness doesn't adapt adequately for usage in the sun. The second-generation Apple Pencil charges magnetically on the iPad Mini. The volume buttons were relocated and the camera quality enhanced. Full-day usage may require recharging the battery. Multiple iPad users and accounts were identified by a reviewer. Sometimes letters and buttons are chopped off on the iPad Mini, and using it horizontally makes the keyboard take nearly the whole screen. The iPad mini's tiny screen makes multitasking and viewing movies problematic, but it makes the tablet more portable. The Mini lacks a smart keyboard port, so keyboards must be linked through Bluetooth.

iPad2021

The new iPad has a dated look and tiny speakers, but it has robust performance, OS improvements, extra storage, and a decent front-facing camera. This iPad costs half as much as Android tablets. It's the most recommended Apple device this year, according to PC Mag. The iPad only supports the original Apple Pencil and the Logitech Crayon. True Tone controls brightness and colour temperature. The speakers' sound quality has been regarded as shrill and lacking bass. For wireless audio, the iPad has a 3.5mm headphone connector and Bluetooth 4.2. The kit contains a 20W converter and a USB-C lightning connection. The iPad supports dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11ac) but not Wi-Fi 6. With the Apple Smart Keyboard, the device may act as a laptop. This is the only iPad that supports the first-generation pencil, but its touch screen is less accurate than others. This iPad is also a good laptop replacement. Apple claims the iPad Pro battery will last up to 10 hours, yet in a PCMag battery drain test, it lasted only 5 hours. The front camera's 12MP ultra-wide lens and 122-degree field of view increase video call quality. The 8MP rear camera sensor stays. The iPad's multitasking, app library, Universal Control, and Focus Mode aid with productivity and organisation.

MacBook Pros in 14 and 16-inch sizes

The Verge calls them the fastest and longest-lasting laptops ever made. Switching to Apple silicon processors has increased the performance of electronics. Reviewers think it will be a while before the Max software environment is fully integrated with the new CPUs. The Apple laptop's RAM cost is absurdly high. The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks are larger, heavier, and thicker. Recent devices include Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, and a complete SDXC slot. The MagSafe 3 charging connection is robust enough to drag a laptop around a desk but disconnects if tugged at an angle. The converter features a USB-C port and a fast-charging option for the MacBook with a 100-watt USB-C adaptor and cable. Apple has replaced the Touch-Bar with full-height function keys. The laptop has a 16:10 XDR display but lacks Face ID and an iPhone-like camera. Reviewers have complained about blooming on the black screen. The 14-inch MacBooks have nice speakers, but the 16-inch ones are amazing, with a 16-hour battery life. The 14-inch MacBook's battery lasted 10.5 hours.

Airpods

The Wire gave the new AirPods a 6/10 for their spatial audio support, Siri integration, strong microphones, quick connection, powerful bass, and clear highs. The audio device had audio leakage and no noise cancellation, was difficult to insert in the ears, had stem-based controls that shifted, and was costly. Apple simply added an hour of battery life, spatial audio, and new drivers to their new headphones. The earphones' design hinders a good seal, leading them to slip off most of the time. The new AirPods feature amazing voice quality and bass despite being pricey. Apple replaced touch-capacitive force centers with tap sensors, making it simpler to operate.

Mini-HomePod

The inexpensive smart speaker contains an U1 chip, an S5 CPU, and 360-degree audio. HomePod small includes Apple Music and Siri, as well as more features than Amazon Echo and Google Nest. Macrumors reviews say the tablet is too tiny for big spaces. The audio gadget can replicate a bigger speaker's tones using computational audio. The HomePod has a three-microphone array to listen for Siri orders, with a fourth microphone pointing inside to separate speaker sound. Reviewers praised Apple's sound quality and battery pack charging capability.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 became the latest buzz gadgets, but Apple's superb selection of goods improved sales in the third quarter. Samsung's sales dropped from $80 million to $69 million, while Apple's rose from $40.5 million to $48.5 million. Samsung's best phones are priced similarly to Apple's iPhones despite the worldwide chip scarcity. Samsung appears to have concentrated on its Flip 3 and Fold 3, but not on its other products, notably its Galaxy Buds 2. The S21's camera and appearance are great, but its functions are lacking for its price. The iPhone 13, Pro, and Pro Max offer superior features, including a water-resistant IPX certification and a fantastic camera with several settings. Apple has won all of the categories that were shown because the new MacBook works perfectly and has a longer battery life.
