Gregg Jaclin Interview: Industry Insights
Gregg Jaclin is a financial consultant in Princeton, NJ. He focuses on capital acquisition and public offerings for businesses and brings over 20 years of experience to his clients.
Jaclin completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland in 1992. He then graduated with a law degree from Cardozo in 1995. This educational background combines business knowledge with legal training.
1996, Gregg Jaclin co-founded Anslow & Jaclin, LLP, where he served as a partner until 2013. During his tenure, he focused on securities involving reverse mergers, mainly for domestic U.S. companies and foreign-based operations. This experience honed his skills in navigating complex financial transactions and regulatory landscapes.
In his career, Jaclin has worked with various firms. He co-founded Anslow & Jaclin, LLP, in 1996. Later, he partnered with Szaferman, Lakind, Blumstein & Blader, P.C.. In 2017, Jaclin started his consulting firm, JRB Consulting LLC.

Our Interview With Gregg Jaclin
Can you share a brief overview of your career journey?
I started my career as a corporate attorney and was a partner in my law firm. After about 20 years, I became a consultant, working with companies on their corporate matters.
What aspects of your industry do you find most rewarding?
I enjoy working directly with clients and helping them strategize on how to overcome various issues.
How have you overcome career obstacles?
I’m a firm believer in hard work produces results. So when there have been obstacles, I just work harder. Developing new clients, servicing my existing clients, talking to colleagues on developing new strategies.
In your opinion, what are the essential skills and qualities that a successful consultant should possess?
First and foremost you must be a people person. You must also have strong communication skills. Responding to clients or potential clients in a timely manner is of most importance. I pride myself on being available even after traditional work hours.
How do you stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into your work?
I spend time talking to colleagues in the industry. I attend conferences and do daily research on various news and financial sites.
How do you balance your personal relationships with your professional relationships?
I have been able to maintain both personal relationships and professional relationships by sometimes combining the two. I find that it often makes for a successful working relationship when you like your clients and colleagues.
What strategies do you use to maintain work-life balance and prevent burnout in a demanding environment?
I’m a firm believer in family time and exercise. I’m fortunate that I have a supportive family who understands the demands of the job while appreciating the time we spend together. I play basketball, football, pickleball, and cycle. It helps to clear my head and keep me grounded.
How do you approach continuous learning and professional development?
I attend several conferences throughout the year where I gain valuable information about the industry while making connections with colleagues. Recently, I traveled abroad to southeast Asia to learn about their environment how best I can service clients abroad.
Looking ahead, what are your aspirations and goals for the future?
I hope to keep learning about the industry and building my network of connections and clients. I don’t plan to stop working anytime soon so I’ll just keep on keeping on.
