DJI's new agricultural drones, the T40, and T20P have a brand-new body and have been optimized for application scenarios such as fertilizer spreading and fruit tree spraying, which raise the efficiency, effectiveness, intelligence, and safety of agricultural drones to a whole new level.
The new T40, double the spray system with increased flow and effectively improve the adhesion rate of the liquid medicine on the back of the fruit tree leaves, the super large spreading load of 50 kg, the spreading efficiency is increased to 1.5 tons of fertilizer per hour, fully satisfying the user in the fruit tree and the spreading scene.
The all-around T20P has a spraying efficiency of 180 mu per hour. The body is light and can be operated by a single person. It has a very high-cost performance in general scenarios. In terms of intelligence, both new products support aerial surveying and mapping functions. Pilots can use the remote control to complete route planning and further improve operational efficiency. In terms of safety, both new products are equipped with active phased array radar + binocular vision system. Further, improve the obstacle recognition and avoidance ability.

Technical Details
The T40 adopts a coaxial twin-rotor design and comes standard with 54-inch propellers. Compared with the previous generation, the load is increased by 33%. It can carry a 40 kg spray box or a 50 kg spread box. The spraying system is equipped with a new magnetic drive impeller pump, which can provide a large flow rate of 12 liters per minute. A brand-new dual atomizing centrifugal nozzle with a double spin plate design to ensure the uniformity of the droplets and increase the adhesion rate of the liquid medicine on the back of the fruit tree leaves by 2 times. The first centrifugal valve design can prevent liquid leakage when the nozzle starts and stops. The effective spray width of T40 can reach 11 meters, and the measured field efficiency can reach 320 mu times per hour, which is 30% higher than the previous generation product.
Operational flexibility
In order to adapt to the common fertilizer packaging in the market and improve work efficiency, the load of the T40 spreading system has been increased to 50 kg, and the feeding port has been enlarged to facilitate quick feeding. In the field scene, the measured spreading efficiency of T40 can reach 1.5 tons of fertilizer per hour. In terms of maintenance and reliability, the spreading system adopts multi-layer protection to enhance corrosion resistance and support water washing; the quick-release structure can be quickly cleaned.
Flight safety
The T40's safety perception system has been upgraded again. It is equipped with the "active phased array radar + binocular vision" combination pioneered by agricultural drones. The system has a monitoring distance of up to 50 meters. Multiple obstacles. Complex terrain such as orchards and hills can also fly unimpeded.
Aerial surveying
Both drones provide aerial surveying and mapping capabilities, that will help in determining farmland boundaries and flight routes are key steps in the operation of agricultural drones. In order to improve operational efficiency, T40 has added an aerial survey function. It is equipped with an FPV ultra-high-definition camera with adjustable pan-tilt angles, which can collect farmland and orchard images in real-time, generate high-definition maps through the remote control, automatically identify plot boundaries and obstacles, and quickly plan operations routes in fields and mountain orchards. T40 can complete 100 acres of land mapping in 10 minutes. The new intelligent route planning function reduces the situation of full-load air flight and improves operational efficiency.
Capacity
T20P and T40 can carry 20kg spray box or 25kg spray box, standard dual atomized centrifugal nozzle, effective spraying range can reach 7 meters, and the measured field efficiency can reach 180 mu times per hour. In terms of intelligent configuration and reliability, T20P inherits the "high specifications" of T40, including ultra-high-definition PFV cameras, aerial surveying and mapping, active phased array radar, binocular vision, and IPX6K vehicle-level protection for the whole machine. With the spreading system, the spreading efficiency can reach 1 ton of fertilizer per hour. T20P can also implement variable fertilization operations to help farmland management lose weight and increase efficiency, reduce costs and increase income.
