Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" is an upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Ant-Man and the Wasp. It is the third installment in the Ant-Man film series and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Peyton Reed and written by Jeff Loveness.

Ant-Man is a superhero character from Marvel Comics, created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby in 1962. The original Ant-Man was scientist Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym, who invented a substance called "Pym Particles" that allowed him to shrink in size while retaining his full strength. Pym first appeared as Ant-Man in Tales to Astonish #27.

In addition to shrinking in size, Pym later developed the ability to communicate with ants and used this power to fight crime as Ant-Man. He eventually adopted other identities such as Giant-Man, Goliath, and Yellowjacket, and was a founding member of the Avengers.

Scott Lang, a thief who stole Pym's Ant-Man suit to save his daughter, later took on the mantle of Ant-Man himself. He also became a member of the Avengers and went on to become a superhero in his own right.

In the comics, both Pym and Lang have had a number of adventures and storylines as Ant-Man, often dealing with scientific experimentation, supervillains, and conflicts within the superhero community. The character has also appeared in various animated series and video games.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Scott Lang was introduced in the 2015 film Ant-Man, played by Paul Rudd. The film focused on Lang's origin story and his mentorship under Pym, and he later appeared in the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp as well as in Avengers: Endgame. Hank Pym was played by Michael Douglas in the films, and the character's daughter Hope van Dyne (who takes on the mantle of the Wasp) was played by Evangeline Lilly.

The film will see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne / The Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne. Additionally, Kathryn Newton will join the cast as Cassie Lang, Scott's daughter, and Jonathan Majors will play Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling villain.

The plot of the film has not been officially revealed, but it is expected to explore the Quantum Realm further and its potential for time travel.Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is an upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Ant-Man and the Wasp. It is the sequel to the 2018 film Ant-Man and the Wasp and the 20th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will reprise their roles as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne/The Wasp, respectively. Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will also return as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, and Jonathan Majors will join the cast as Kang the Conqueror.

The plot details of the movie have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to continue the story of Ant-Man and the Wasp as they navigate the quantum realm and face new challenges. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the official plot details for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania have not been released by Marvel Studios. However, it is expected to continue the story of Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne/The Wasp as they navigate the quantum realm and face new challenges.

The film is also set to introduce Kang the Conqueror, a major Marvel Comics villain with time-traveling abilities, who could potentially have a significant impact on the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It is likely that the film will explore the quantum realm in more depth, as it was established as a crucial part of the Ant-Man and the Wasp story in previous films. The quantum realm is a mysterious and largely unexplored realm where the laws of physics do not apply, and it is possible that the characters could encounter new threats or allies within it.

As with any Marvel film, it is sure to have a blend of action, humor, and heart, as well as connections to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is currently set to be released on February 17, 2023.
