A powerful message by Bethlehem’s bombed-out nativity sculpture.
A native sculpture of Bethlehem which is bombed out delivers a strong message.

Bethlehem, a West Bank settlement — Bethlehem is silent and solemn this year. There are no holiday lights, no Christmas tree, and no tourists to view them.
Rather, Christmas is being celebrated in the center of a conflict zone in the city where Jesus was born with a poignant and powerful message of solidarity with Palestine.
A terrifying scene is shown in the sculpture known as the Holy Family grotto. It is a bombed-out replica of the traditional nativity grotto, which many Christians still hold to be the location of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem. The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem is currently located there.
The new mural is compared to the trip that Christ and his family took two millennia ago, when they had to escape from Bethlehem to Egypt due to a harsh ruler, and then returned to Nazareth.
Girdled by debris and acerbic line, the Virgin Mary embraces the baby Jesus, while Joseph embraces her, offering solace. On one side of the family, the Magi holds out a white cloak. On the other side, the fourth cowgirl carries a bag, a symbol of Palestinian relegation.
Angels, suspended around the debris, represent the souls of children who have been victims of butcheries on Palestinian land throughout history the murder of children in Bethlehem by Herod at the birth of Jesus; colorful social attacks against the Palestinian people and their ancestors; and current butcheries by Israel in Gaza.
Around the scene, multilingual panels call for a ceasefire and an end to the butchery against the Palestinian people.
Hana Hanania, the mayor of Bethlehem, said the form aims to showcase Palestinian suffering far and wide. Churches, church and civilians in Gaza are being bombarded, and a leaguer is executed in the West Bank, particularly in Bethlehem.
The design, with its political, devout, and national imagery, draws a comparison between what happened more than 2,000 a long time back and what is happening nowadays, she said. Fair as Christ was tormented and children were murdered by Ruler Herod at that point, nowadays, children and ladies are being butchered in a clear act of genocide. The cave’s roof could be a geographical outline of Gaza. Its shape, along with a portrayal of an blast, shape a star, propelled by the Star of Bethlehem that driven the Magi to Jesus’s birth. This passes on a message of trust.
