24-hour challenge: living without technology .
I started my challenge on a Saturday morning.

As a digital native, I have always been surrounded by technology. From smartphones to laptops, I am constantly connected to the digital world. So when I heard about the 24-hour challenge to live without technology, I knew it would be a difficult task. But I also knew it would be an interesting experience to disconnect from the digital world and focus on the present moment.
I started my challenge on a Saturday morning.
I turned off my phone and put it in a drawer. It was a strange feeling not to have it with me. I realised how much I relied on my phone for checking the time and staying in touch with my friends and family. But I also felt a sense of freedom without the constant notifications and messages.
Next, I disconnected my internet router and turned off my laptop. Without the internet, I had to find other things to occupy my time. I decided to start the day by going for a walk in the park. The fresh air and scenery were refreshing, and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the outdoors without the distractions of technology.
As the day went on, I found myself becoming increasingly aware of how much technology is a part of my daily routine. Without my phone, I had to rely on my memory to remember appointments and plans. I even found myself struggling to find my way to a friend's house without the help of Google Maps! It was a reminder of how much we rely on technology for even the most basic tasks.
Without the internet, I had to find other ways to keep myself entertained. I decided to clean my apartment, something I had been putting off for weeks. It was satisfying to see my space transform from cluttered to clean, and I felt a sense of accomplishment from completing a task without the distractions of technology.
As the evening approached, I realised that I would usually spend this time watching TV or scrolling through social media. Instead, I decided to read a book. It was a great way to relax and unwind without the distractions of technology. I found myself getting lost in the story and forgot about the outside world for a while.
As I went to bed that night, I realised that I had completed the 24-hour challenge without technology. It had been a tough task, but also an interesting experience. I had gained a newfound appreciation for the present moment and the world around me. Without the distractions of technology, I was able to focus on myself and my surroundings.
The next day, as I turned my phone back on and connected my internet router, I felt a sense of anxiety. I was worried about the flood of notifications and messages that would come pouring in. But I reminded myself that I had the power to control my relationship with technology. I could choose to disconnect when I needed to and focus on the present moment.
In conclusion, the 24-hour challenge to live without technology was a difficult but worthwhile experience. It reminded me of how much we rely on technology for even the most basic tasks and how it can be a distraction from the present moment. It also showed me that I have the power to control my relationship with technology and choose when to disconnect. I would highly recommend this challenge to anyone who wants to gain a new perspective on their relationship with technology
